I have had mine (mixed bristle) paddle shape for decades. Since the 1980s. It's Durable and lasts. Easy to wash. I don't use it often anymore. But, it's perfect if I want full hair (I have straight Asian hair even when brushed from the underside out, so full is relative) or to redistribute natural oils especially on no wash days. The paddle brush used to come in three sizes: I …Read more

After 10 years or so of frying my hair via a straightener everyday, I decided to start looking after it properly. I started with ditching shampoo and styling products, then to find a decent brush. This brush is heaven and very much worth the price. The first time i used it I was in bliss from the way it felt on my head..like a massage. It has only been a few days but the brush is pulling the …Read more

Edit 03/23/16 DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON.com!! I was sold a FAKE BRUSH! The logo wore off, the bristles started to break in the middle and also some fell out in short order. I returned the brush to amazon & cheap idiots only refunded me $135. I was fooled at first coz I never seen a real MP brush it was a blind buy. So I'm out $15 that I coulda bought another wet brush. Amazon were …

I have been using my Mason Pearson Handy Mixed brush for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. I have fine, wavy, armpit-length hair (lots of it!) that I used to wash every other day. Usually by day 2 I would have greasy roots and dry ends. This brush does a fantastic job of distributing the oils and I am now able to go three days between washes! This brush is great for detangling yet is …Read more

This is a pre-review with a strong interest to buy.

Wanted to put out there - there is so much conflicting info, but that as of this date: MP only carries a 1 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. DON'T BELIEVE THESE BRUSHES ARE GUARANTEED FOR LIFE - THEY HAVE CHANGED THIS AND THEY DON'T.

So that's out there, and I still want to try them out …

So... I was under the impression that a hairbrush was just a hairbrush. I was wrong! I love this thing. Makes my thin, dry, damaged hair look so much better. Healthy looking and shiny, with less frizz and more volume. And I notice a lot less breakage. Will probably get the pocket version as well, to carry around in my purse. It is pricey, but I concider it to be worth it, especially if it is …Read more

I have super coarse, super thick hair that has been terribly damaged from years of coloring it. I quit the all over processes about a year ago and stopped other dying entirely about six months ago. I decided to get the brush because I wanted a treat for my hair rehab.

It was pretty frustrating to track down this brush. I had been told to be careful as their are a lot of reputable …

This is a super expensive hairbrush. That said, the quality is excellent. I bought the pocket pure boar bristle at first because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the larger sizes -- silly me, the pocket brush is also very expensive. Then I discovered that it was really annoying to have to section my medium-thick hair in order to brush my entire scalp. So I bought the handy sized …Read more

I had been losing a lot of hair everyday the past years that my hair now is less than half the volume I had 10 years ago. I read some review about boar bristle brushes that it was supposed to be gentle on the hair and scalp. I initially bought the Denman mixed bristle but it doesn't quite reach my scalp so I ended up ordering this. MP reaches and massages my scalp really well. I have …Read more

I want to cry right now because this product was a huge disappointment for me! I People say brushing is the key to obtain healthy hair, and apparently it seems Mason Pearson brushes are considered as one of the best hair brushes in the world. I cannot express how much I HATE this brush.

My first impression on this brush was actually nice. Although my hair is naturally glossy, I could …
