Sunscreen -MyChelle -Sun Shield Liquid Tint spf50

on 9/21/2018 5:21:00 AM

The reason I am taking the time to write this review (I never do) is because I find this sunscreen to be truly outstanding. I am the other side of 35, fair skin, combination prone to eczema. Two pumps of the Nude tinted version give a nice even coverage, and the mattifying power is truly outstanding! I have never had an oil-free T-zone for 5 to 6 hours before this sunscreen. However, I find that without a moisturiser underneath, the sunscreen tends to dry my skin out a bit. The fact that it is a physical exclusive with clean ingredients make this product a winner.

One star off because of the atrocious dispensing action: the pump is the worst I have ever experienced. Even if you direct it closely to the palm of your hand, it manages to squirt on your bathroom sink and clothes, so I am joining the chorus of previous reviewers who complained about it, kindly asking MyChelle to redesign the pump so that this becomes the absolute star product it is meant to be.

Sunscreen -MyChelle -Replenishing Solar Defense SPF 30

I wasn’t even aware of this brand of sunscreen until I watched YouTuber Angie, aka “HotandFlashy” do a Best & Worst of Mineral Sunscreens for 2018. She didn’t try this exact product, rather another from the line that is a tinted fluid however, it got me intrigued enough to try this out. The consistency of this is somewhere between a lotion and a cream that blends out easily and smoothly on the skin. It feels light weight and dries down to a matte finish. I didn’t notice any white cast and it works amazingly well. It is on the expensive side ($30 CAD) but I don’t mind spending $ on quality products for good skin care, including sunscreen. I’d rather splurge on skincare then makeup any day. I didn’t notice any fragrance in this product and it layers well on itself which I tested while spending the day outside swimming. This has replaced all other sunscreens I’ve tried on my face up until now.

Skincare - Face -MyChelle -Deep Repair Cream

on 4/16/2018 4:24:00 AM

Mychelles creams smell the absolute worse. It was also too emollient for my face and caused cystic pimples. I wanted to use it for the back of my hands but I couldn't get over the old lady smell.

Moisturizers -MyChelle -clear skin balancing cream

I didn't experience any breakouts while using but I'm not crazy about how it feels on my skin. It doesn't moisturize very well and when I looked up close at my skin, it was full of shimmer. It made my pores look nice though.

Moisturizers -MyChelle -Oil Free Grapefruit Cream

I learned about Mychelle through my sister who raves and swears by their products, and when I saw this moisturizer for $9 at TJ Maxx I thought that it couldn't hurt to try-- even if I ended up not liking it I could always pass it onto my sister. My skin is weird that it changes due to where I am and what time of the year, I do travel and move often and to many different types of regions and climates. Currently I am Greece where the average temperature is high 80s-low 90s (~30-32 C) and very high humidity (50%+). Due tot he humidity and the heat, I do tend to produce more oil but I have noticed that with continuous use of this moisturizer it has become way more balanced. However, I have noticed that if I wear sunscreen on top (Biore Watery Essence 50) my skin does tend to get oily throughout the day, but that most likely is due to the weather and other things that I have put on top interacting with the moisturizer. For the summer, it is pretty moisturizing that I never feel my face to be dry. Granted, I do use a very mild and moisturizing cleanser (La Roche Posay Dermocleanser) so I don't really suffer from that tight feeling. For the winter, however, I could see myself using something a little more thicker like an oil just because my skin does suffer in the cold, and needs a decent layer of protection. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this product. It's not amazing, but it's not doing anything bad to my skin. It keeps my acne at bay, and it moisturizes just enough for the summer. For the price that I got it, I am very happy with it.
