Lubriderm was founded In 1945 by Dr. Louis Schleuse, who was a pharmacology professor at the University of Texas. It was initially used solely by dermatologists and pharmacists who used it to treat dry, itchy, and sensitive skin. It became widely available in retail stores in 1975. In 2006 it was purchased by Johnson & Johnson.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm -Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion

on 4/6/2019 9:22:00 PM

This stuff is amazing. I live in the upper Midwest, and the winters are rough. Extremely cold, and the indoors are dry. I I never was really impressed with regular Lubriderm. I just didn't find it all that moisturizing. But this, this is totally different. My main use for it is as a hand lotion. I keep bottles of it everywhere. I use it after every handwashing, and it really keeps my hands soft and I don't get hangnails. I work with paper at work, and I would always get hangnails from the paper drying my hands out. Plus, we don't have a dishwasher, so I wash dishes with Dawn all of the time without gloves. My husband works in a paper mill and his hands were getting really bad. He keeps the biggest bottle of this at work now, too, and his hands are doing so much better. I do use it as a body lotion, too. It's nice and thick, but spreads out nicely, absorbs well, and isn't greasy. (Maybe just the tiniest bit at first, but not for long.) It's nice that it's something that's not all perfumey. It doesn't clash with any fragrance I want to wear, plus guys can use it too.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture with SPF 15

on 12/14/2018 10:34:00 PM

I wish more body lotions had SPF in them, but it seems like a rare thing - this is one of the few exceptions. It's only SPF 15 but at least it's something that I can wear on days I'm not going to be outside, just going from one building to another type thing. That being said, I've found this lotion to be difficult to rub in, and leaves a white cast for a bit (it does eventually go away once it sinks in). Not super impressed and I won't repurchase due to this. I don't find it very moisturizing but is okay for the summertime. The scent is pleasant enough, it's very light and sort of the Lubriderm standard scent.

Moisturizers -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture Lotion - Fragrance Free

on 8/10/2018 3:22:00 PM

I love this moisturizer. It soaks right in with no heavy residue. It does not cause any breakouts or irritation on my legs or arms. I use it after a bath or shower. It is lightweight and spreads easy. My skin has a nice healthy glow without the greasy feel. I can get dressed shortly after putting it on. It is easy to find and fairly inexpensive. I also use as a hand lotion. If you don't like heavy thick moisturizers, this is worth a try.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture Lotion

on 4/29/2018 9:36:00 PM

I have the sensitive version of this lotion, which is fragrance and lanolin free. I like to use this on my face. It sinks right in and doesn't leave a greasy feel. It hydrates a long time and never irritates. Of course, this lotion is also effective as a hand and body moisturizer. Lubriderm is also really affordable. A 16 oz. bottle is under $10.00 dollars. This product doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles some other products might have, but if you're irritated by moisturizers with a lot of actives like I am, this just might be the lotion for you.
