Fraicheur by Yves Saint Laurent is the
original heady hyper-fresh “dryer sheets” accord of the
original Kouros meets citrus and pineapple. I enjoy it more than the
original, which tends to give me a headache. It is a nicer,
toned-down version of the original but still isn’t as
transparent as Kouros Eau D’Ete. It has headlining notes of
clove, honey and patchouli with a supporting cast of neroli,
bergamot, oakmoss, incense, ambergris and vetiver. It is a very
unique mix of fresh notes, spicy notes, sweet notes and earthy notes.
I rather enjoy it and find it to be loads better than the original
Kouros, but still, just as with the original, I find it to be a
little too mature for my tastes. But if you enjoy patchouli/oakmoss
strong fragrances like Givenchy Gentleman, you will love this one.
Unique? Yes. Enjoyable? Yes. Wearable by moi? Not likely.
