Does not sink in. Causes eye irritation, including blurry vision, which does not go away for HOURS. Major fail on the part of LM.

I have been using this eye cream for about five months now and I am really liking it. The skin under my eyes was quite dry and it was making my concealer look funny. I have read that this cream is supposed to help with dark circles and I have very dark genetic circles. I'm not convinced that it is reducing the appearance of my circles, but it is certainly helping my concealer work better, so I'm okay with it.
This is the most I've ever spent on a skincare product, but it is not quite half gone yet and I do believe it is moisturizing enough that it will help prevent wrinkles, so I will repurchase it when it's gone.

I LOVE this eye cream. I use it during the day as it is hydrating but light and also has reflective pigments which are very flattering to hide lines. It works great under any concealer I use for dark circles. Would prefer a tube rather than the jar, but will take it as it comes...

Ouch, ouch, ouch is really all I can say about this eye cream. Granted, there are a few other eye creams I've tried in the past which made the area around my eyes burn, but this one definitely takes the cake. Never in my life have I had such a painful and irritating reaction to an eye cream as I had with this one. Typically, if I react to an eye cream I can usually wait it out until the burning stops and note to myself to find a new eye cream in the near future. I tried waiting for the stinging/burning sensation to stop after using this eye cream and it only intensified until I had to wash it off for relief. It made the area around my eyes visibly red and irritated for the rest of the day. This is the worst eye cream I have ever used and it is not cheap either!!

Okay contrary to many reviewers, I found this eye treatment to be a really good investment. I use it only at night when I'm ready to hit the bed, and I must say that when i wake up, the area around my eyes are very smooth and supple. It really does a great job moisturizing the eye area! I don't use it during the day because i find it's too emoliant to apply my eye makeup on top. I don't like the pricy (it's wayyy too expensive) nor the fact that it's in a jar format (as it's inhygenic). Will I purchase it after it's finished?...well, unless I find something better that is less expensive, I will continue to buy this. EDIT (June 2008): I stopped using this because I found that upon continuous use of this product my skin around my eyes became ultra sensitive to everything. It burns whenever I apply any other moisturizer around my eye area no matter how gentle it is. Now that I stopped using it, the burning sensation is gone. Dropped the lippies to 2 and will not purchase again as it's not worth the money (too pricey) and aggravating to my skin!

I can't believe there is a Laura Mercier item that I don't like...but there is and it is Eyedration. I tried it for only a week, but in that time while it truly did seem to moisturize, it also made my eye makeup smudge!! I am in my mid 30s and can honestly say that this has never happened to me even with the hundreds and hundreds of eye creams I have tried. This being said, this may very well be for all those ladies out there that suffer with extremely dry eye are. My eye area is sensitive and moderately dry. And in addition to it being just too heavy/ emollient for me, this eye cream made my eyes water no matter how little I used.
Wow do I ever feel bad leaving this type of feedback for my Laura Mercier....I will admit I am a Laura Mercier Junkie but even I couldn't keep this product. It went right back to the store.

I am twenty eight and have sensiitve, acne prone skin. I've been using Dermalogica's multivitamin power firm for two years and really haven't seen much difference.
I was hesitant to try a "creamy" eye cream, because I still have frequent break outs.
I obtained a sample of this cream and it does seem to work. I did not have any type of stinging reaction, or additional break outs from using this cream. I've been using it twice a day for a little over a week.
This cream is pricey and unless I see continuous results I will look to purchase something else the next time around.
**UPDATE** No longer using product.

I was using a Clarins eye gel and liked it, but recently wanted to try something new, so I purchased this product at Neiman's. So far, so good. I've read several mixed reviews on the product and I actually like that it "cools" and "soothes" under my eyes and eyelids; in retrospect, I haven't noticed that it significantly reduces puffiness and dark circles, which I seem to have a lot. AND- I can't really say this is the best that I've used because it's not and I probably won't purchase it again.

I love this eyecream! It's one of the few that doesn't sting my eyes. I can't believe other people say it has. I hope they all know that you're not supposed to put eyecream above the orbital bone or on the eyelid. This product is super gentle and after 2 weeks or so, my eyes had a lot less dark underneath. The real reason that I love it is that, even after several hours, I still feel hydrated. I've tried expensive eye creams that feel amazing when they go on, but in a few hours I'll feel dry and tight. With the eyedration, my eyes feel great all day.

I have been using this for two days, twice a day and can honestly tell a big difference. The SA that sold me this gave me an entire LM makeover and suggested this for the dark circles under my eyes. After two days I can see a HUGE difference with my dark circles being almost gone. The cream is very creamy so it is easy to "pat in," but it is not so creamy that my makeup slides off. I would recommend it. Thirty bucks is a little much, but it only takes a small bit so it should last forever.

This is together with my eye cream from Clé de Peau my HG of eye treatments! The combo of Laura Merciers mega moisturizer spf 15 for the face and this is truly a favourite! It is really so simple, and even though it doesn't contain all the collagen and vitamins that some eye treatments out there do - which some might see as a downside - this still will win the trophy in my contest of eye creams anytime. And here is why; It has a whipped texture that harbours loads and loads of moisture hydrating and smoothing the delicate eye area, with an outstanding immediately visible smoothing effect on fine lines and wrinkles. And if you look really carefully it seems as if it contains the smallest little diffusing shimmering particles too that increases the overall effect even more. In spite it's highly moisturizing consistency applying make up over it is no problem. They go perfectly together.
I inhibitiously use this sometimes both days and nights even though I think it's geared towards daytime use. But when I can't afford to send for the tiny Clé de Peau tube, that contains maybe more longterm anti-ageing properties, I just use this all the time. And to be honest I can't really say I can tell the difference in effect. Eye treatments simply doesn't get much better than this, in my opinion.

Very average product.
It's great as a primer for the secret camoflauge, but that's about it. It doesn't really make your skin better or worse.
I saw better results with my cheaper & larger Neutrogena. continued >>

I got a package sample of this eye cream and I thought the product was so so. For its price, $35 per .05oz jar, I'd rather get Clinique advanced stop signs eye SPF 15, which costs only $29.50 and comes w/ sunscreen protection.

This is a must for under makeup. I didn't pay for it though, and the thought of coughing up 30 for it when I run out shortly makes me cringe. It's not greasy and doesn't make my eye makeup run.

Hum,.... I thought this stuff was fine. I like that it sinks in really well. Starts off a bit greasy, which is great for getting it all around your eyes or getting concealer well blended in, then leaves behind moisturized skin without any greasiness at all after a few minutes. Works great with the LM concealers - every other eye cream I use with them makes them ball up, but not this stuff.
I only use it during the day. I use an AHA eyecream (MDForte skin rejuv.) at night and sometimes good old Benefiance when I am lazy and wearing no makeup, but for makeup days, this stuff is it. A must if you use her "flawless face" system. The price is really great, only about $30. continued >>

The previous reviewers have spoken for me - buring is what it does for me (for us). I have sensitive undereye area also. But I have never had similar experience that an eye product would irrate my skin within one minute (Like many needles attacking my undereye area). Hate this eye cream.

I don't like this at all, I had a horrible allergic reaction to it and it gave me undereye bumps that are not going away. So darn expensive too. Don't listen to the people at the counter, expensive does not mean better.
