Definitely a great find. As has been said, this is a soft, super wearable sheer red. Dry enough to last, but moist enough to be comfy and have a bit of sheen. This is so sheer that it almost, but not quite, veers into pink territory once on the lips. This and Kevyn Aucoin Dantique (oh, and NARS Gipsy of course) are the softest reds I have found, and in fact they are very similar. The KA is more matte though, and a bit more pigmented. Anyway, for $15 this is a keeper and a good staple. I almost bought the wrong thing, because Philosphy has another lipstick formula with a color called "Passion." "Word of Mouth" is what you want.

I bought this off ebay after reading the other reviews of it, and I am glad I did: it has to be one of the easiest reds to wear in the world. It is sheer but not too sheer, red but not too red, without being brown-y or purpl-y. I also can't wear very orange reds because I am a blue/red--but I am so pale and blue/red that blue/red reds look really harsh on me (think corpse). I barely know how to describe how this works, as the only color I really see in it is red. This one is a must have!! Perfect!!

I don't like red lipsticks on me because it doesn't suit my skincolour. This colour however is a very nice mix of different colourtones that end up being my "red" lipstick...The name "passion" just makes this lipstick even more attractive...
Plus I always tend to prefer lipsticks with sheer, dewy finish.

This is a moderate reddish brown on me. Very sheer and looks great with my Fall coloring. These lipsticks are as good as Vincent Longo stains and sheers but for 5 bucks cheaper. Have definitely added these to my sheer lip collection--I'm sold. Will buy again.

I think I have at last found my shade of holy grail red lipstick thanks to the many participants in the MUA message boards. I love this lipstick color. It is the perfect red for me - sheer, deep but no brown in it. I am so thrilled to have discovered this color at last. The lipstick appears in person to have alot of brown in it, but on my lips it doesn't show up brown at all. Love this color. I will have to buy a couple more to stash in different places. Once a lipstick becomes a holy grail I want it available in several places.

I purchased this before I had heard Gillian Anderson wore it. It was a glossy berry lip that I was looking for so it was definetely a must have. This is a great colour. Gives that I just drank a glass of wine look to the lips.

I had read about this being Gillian Anderson's color on the X-Files too,and once I got this lipstick (thru Beauty.com) I thought, she sure must have worn it over a darker shade of lipstick, because this is a very sheer brownish red, but not nearly as dark as the way her lips looked. It's got a nice feel to it and is very moisturizing, but i wear it when I want a light lip look, because the color isn't very strong or deep. And, I'm still waiting for David Duchovny to come knocking at my door. Ah well.

This is an absolutely beautiful shade of perfect hint of red. This is a supermoisturizing lipstick that doesnt dry out lips. I really like it and have purchased several more shades. It lasted an average time and had no annoying scent like so many lippies.
