The only really big problem I have with the Bourjois Lipstick line is that they keep discontinuing them! Remember Pour La Vie? Lovely Rouge? Lovely Rouge Brille? Docteur Glamour? Eclat de Rire? And the one in the really long tube from years ago that I can't remember the name of! All terribly lovely and all terribly discontinued. All gone. Bye-Bye. Their blushes might have been around 150 years but you can be sure their lipsticks won't! :)
I have Rouge Edition lipstick in #2 Beige Trench. I bought and wore this right away in the depths of the British winter feeling tres chic only to get home, look in the mirror and think, good lord I look like a corpse. Beige Trench is a nude with distinctive greyish tones to it. The internet pictures I have seen have been really varied in terms of how it comes across. On me I get no rosiness from it- it is a washed out sort of mink beige with no warmth. Because of the grey cast when worn over pigmented lips there is a very slight mauve quality that is allowed to come through. Coverage is quite good and the formula is creamy and comfortable to wear. The claims Bourjois make are a bit wild (10 hours of hydration?) but it is reasonably moisturising on me.
Now that Spring has sprung and I have a little more life in my complexion I am actually really pleased with how this looks! It is a great lipstick to wear when you are wearing strong eye makeup. Lasting power is average on me (3 hours) and the price point is decent as well. I'd be really interested to try some other shades in this line.
Bought this in no. 4 Rose Tweed!
Wouldve loved to purchase other shades too but Australia doesn't stock many other colours, which is a shame. Got this on sale for $10AUD at Priceline! Love it! It's moisturising and pigmented. The colour lasts for a few hours even though it's a light colour. Rose tweed is a nude-pink. Pretty much MLBB, which is what I've been longing for for a VERY long time.
I have dry lips so lipsticks are an issue for me, especially during the colder seasons, which is what it is now in Aus. But this lipstick works like a charm.
The only con I would say is that the plastic packaging is WAY too hard to open and it leaves residue on the actual packing of the lipstick.
Will definitely purchase again.
P.S ASOS sells these lipsticks in all shades for a bit over $12AUD :)
I have this in #15, Rouge Podium, and it's been lipstick lurrve so far. I'd describe the shade as watermelon red, a youthful burst of fresh and happy colour. It's creamy, and well-pigmented, and delivers lots of shine. Which renders a gloss on top (de rigeur for me with most other lipsticks) wholly unnecessary. My lips have a tendency towards dryness and peeling, and their condition usually gets exacerbated by some of the lipsticks I use. But not this one. At the end of the day, my lips felt soft, without the accompanying scaliness and peeling. Win!
Adore the packaging too, it's so classy for a drugstore brand! Cap is a high-shine, very polished black which to me refers back to the beautiful shine/sheen of the lipstick housed within. And 'Rouge Edition' is in bright poppy-red, slightly raised lettering down the side of the cap. Base of the casing is transparent, which helpfully allows me to see the colour of the lippie at a quick glance without having to open up the case.

I got this lipstick in Jet Set, nr 13 and it is a really nice true red. I usually get a pink red on my lips when I buy a true red, but this one is really a true red for me. The texture is pretty moisturizing. I like it, but it is a bit too shiny for my taste. However, with a lipliner and this lipstick applied I can enjoy this lipstick for at least a couple hours.

Isaw this in Selfridges last week and thought rather than buying from there I would go to Boots and see if they would be on offer or at the very least rack up some points.
All Bourjois stuff was buy one get one half price.
I was particularly after 04 Rose Tweed which was a pinkier based nude because any shade lighter than this would wash me out. I have purple based pigmented lips which I hate and am NC 43ish.
This is a nice lipstick, quite moisturising but would need reapplying throughout the day.
