very good mascara but in comparision to kiss me heroine make i definately prefer the latter.. kiss me mascara does much better with length, volume define and holding curl..but i do find that lash king gives a more fluttery effect which tends to look more natural .. however find that it tends to make my lashes droop a tiny bit straight after i apply and more throughout the day .using this brand's lash primer underneath willl help to keep the curl though
After reading a lot about Majolica mascaras, I decided to take a plunge and get their latest mascara and that's Lash King. When I first got this, I thought the mascara is a too on a too dry side for being waterproof but I like that it didn't make my lashes crunchy but this formula do not hold my curl at all so this is a fail for me.
It also smudges under my eyes as the day goes on but I like how easy it is to use to apply mascara on the lower lashes. I just have to make sure that I powder my undereyes and not use too much of the mascara.
Won't repurchase. Chances I will clean the wand after I'm done with the mascara and use the brush for my lower lash instead.
I got this masscara after my friend suggested it, and i love it! It lengthens my lashes, makes them appear thicker than they actually are. And it really doesn't smudge. I put it on in the morning, no touch ups, and no racoon eyes or smudges or flakes at all until nightime. :) Only thing is that it is difficult to remove. I guess that explains the no smudging. But i use my ever reliable polds cold cream, and it effectively removes the lash king. The packaging is so adorable! Will repurchase definitely. :)

In the summer, I went to a drugstore in Hong Kong and there it was, standing there in the midst of what seems to be like a spotlight shining over this mascara (to put it dramatically). The packaging is the cutest thing ever I couldn't resist buying this! Anyways, I got the brown version of this mascara and in my opinion it works awesome for me and my teeny Asian lashes. I love the color and I don't regret choosing this over black (considering I already have lots of black mascaras). This lengthens my lashes and really volumizes. I've gotten compliments about the color of my lashes too. The only thing is the staying power wasn't great especially in places with humid weather such as HK. But it holds up pretty well back in Canada. I would definitely buy this again if I ever get the chance to. But since it hasn't ran out yet I'm in no rush.
This is my new favorite mascara. It does what it promises. there are two things that bug me about it though: 1, that putrid smell and 2, the hairs in it bother me a bit.
Cute packaging
Dense wand
Fibers!!
All the things I like in a mascara!
The effect is typical of most MJ mascaras curl locking ( yup that's what the Japanese call it) and lengthens like I wish my height would...
I have this in brown. The color is warm and my lashes appear almost red in some lightings. Not the shade I would have preferred but it's one of the less reddish ones around.
Can't see a difference in volume and it's a challenge to layer because it dries really fast. I find that swiping straight up the lashes works better than wriggling the comb through the lashes. May need to comb if you apply a tad too much. Being stingy works better for once
My steps are as follows:
1. Apply
2. Comb
3. Admire

This mascara is pretty good, it's pretty dry so it doesn't volumize but it does an excellent job of maintaining a curl in my naturally straight lashes. I used to use Diorshow which did lengthen and volumize dramatically but the formula was too creamy to hold the curl in my eyelashes so by the end of the day I would have mascara stains on my lower eye because my lashes would droop. Before this I was using Oscillation which I think is a midway point between this and the Diorshow.
UPDATE:
I like this mascara more and more, it holds a curl really really well, it is very natural looking without looking too thin and it does a pretty good job volumizing as well, it is also fantastic on bottom lashes. I got the fairy drops mascara recently and I still like this more.
I LOVE all the Majolica Majorca's Mascara & when this first came out, I bought it almost immediately. It turned out to be a major disappointment.
1. It has a strange chemical smell.
2. The fibres are all clumpy on the wand - that's how it was the first time I pulled the wand out of the tube.
3.It does NOTHING for my lashes. The fibres simply cling gently off the tips of the lashes making me look like I have strange, spidery lashes which are not even properly aligned. (The spidery fibres hang off the lashes in different angles.)
Back to my usual Majolica Majorca's mascara! continued >>

First of, Majolica Mojorca always had amazing packaging. I'm a sucker for packaging so I decided to give this one a try. The moment I opened the tube I was appalled by how dry it was. The fibers were all over the place! Anyway, I tried it on my asian lashes, and...did not see any results whatsoever. Only good thing? Color maybe.
Other than this, I DO NOT recommend this mascara.
I've tried Majolica's Lash Expander Frame Plus before this one and I do believe Lash King is the better of the two, if only because i don't get fiber in my eyes every time i try to apply!
For reference I have previously bought and used Kiss Me Heroine L&C and V&C (HG) as well as Shiseido's Lifting Mascara, and Canmake's Gokubuto and Gokutobi. I actually used all of these before to trying any of Majolica's mascaras, so i'm certainly no n00b to japanese mascaras.
In any case, unlike Lash Expander Frame Plus, Lash King doesn't have a funny shaped brush/applicator. Instead it's a "almost" normal brush. I say "almost" because most of the mascara brushes i've seen (western and a lot of eastern ones) have thicker spikes. The spikes on Lash King is really thin and there's a lot of it. Good thing is, this will definitely fan out your lashes and separate, and it does coat evenly. Bad thing is, I find it not at all volumizing (unless you count the fanning/separation), and only mildly lengthening. It does hold curl well for me (after I curl my lashes).
It did dry out a lot faster for me than Lash Expander Frame Plus. I purchased LEFP (far too long of a name!) a couple of weeks before i purchased Lash King (both bought directly in japan), but the Lash King dried out almost a month before LEFP started to show signs of drying out for me.
Lash King gave good results (in terms of length and volume) in my first use, but thereafter it became more and more dry, therefore the result became weaker and weaker.
Comparing LEFP with Lash King, I would say LEFP has a better result, but Lash King was tons easier to use (i didn't have any issues with fiber getting in my eyes with this one). The brush was more normal and i didn't waste time digging fiber out of my eyes every morning, and for the first month or so it did provide good results. Unfortunately for that price though...not something i want to have to repurchase every month! continued >>
