Camel is a dark gold shade, rather aptly named, I think - it does remind me of the dark, warm beige of a classic camelhair coat, although it's a little more yellow - with a smooth, pearly sheen. I would never have thought of ordering this shade of my own accord, but I received a small, bagged sample of Camel along with an order of other products from Alima, and I will be adding a full-size of it to my next Alima order.
I'm not sure how this would work on other skin tones, but it's lovely against my fair skin with yellow/olive undertones and blue eyes, and would probably be gorgeous on darker skins. I usually combine this with Alima Silk on the lid for a slightly foiled effect, with a neutral brown in the crease and a neutral browbone highlighter, but Camel would pair very well with bright colours too, I imagine.
Lasting power and colour intensity are good, Camel is very smooth and finely milled, and the sheen is smooth too, not sparkly or gritty in the least. I'm very pleased to have made Camel's acquaintance.

I am almost done with the free sample I received of this eyeshadow, and I liked it so much I reordered a full size. Interesting color, in between a darker pearled peach and a gold. Looks really nice as wash all over the lid and with a darker color in the crease. I love this also with Clinique Egyptian creamshaper liner. The Pearluster formula from Alima seems to me that it definitely needs a primer and it's not as pigmented as some of their other shadows, but it did last on me all day. Just not as pigmented as some shadows I have received from Fyrinnae, but good lasting time with a cream primer/paint - applied damp.
