Like a lot of people on here I'm not into Jeffree Star as a person or entertainer, but boy does he have some bomb lipstick formulas. My lips are too dry for some liquid formulas even after a good scrub and balm, these are very lightweight and not to drying.

I do have slightly different experiences for two different shades though- I have both Designer Blood and Family Jewels. Unfortunately both holiday collection colours, so I do hope they have another limited release again because they are. amazing.

Family Jewels is a mauve-ish cool toned medium brown colour. It is *very* cool, to the point where I look a little off wearing a warm eye with it, but it's perfectly workable with neutrals and is complimentary to cool eye looks (I am just *so* into a mauve or taupe eye look with this). The formula is just *perfect*: Pigmented, light, not too drying and easy to patch up- I pretty much need to patch up every lipstick I ever wear in the 'butthole' inner rim of my mouth (Props to safiya nygaard for coining that term).

Designer Blood is what i'd call a dark maroon, I found the shade unicorn blood too dark so this was a good slightly lighter option. It's a lovely warm shade too. It has a 'golden' slight sheen to it if you rub it after drying, which really does work, just not on my because my lips are too dry to rub. Boo hiss, genetics. This one also goes on nicely, but it feels a little heavier and is more difficult to patch up- I have to rub where i'm re-applying (the lip butthole) with a makeup wipe or wet tissue to get rid of any significant amount of dry product before applying this again, otherwise it gives an unflattering 'cakey' look. I don't need to do it to the whole lip though, so It's really not too much bother. I'm pretty sure this is down to the 'gold glint' gimmick this shade has. I also found this one dries out faster than the other too.

The applicator is not offensive but not my favorite either. I'd like it to be less textured/spongey as this can occasionally leave me with an uneven outer edge if I don't line my lips first (which is most of the time. I can never be bothered). The packaging design is really glam, which I adore.

I bought the lipstick in the shade Leo. I’m absolutely in love. The formula is perfect, feels weightless and doesn’t feel sticky after drying. It’s easy to apply and really hard to mess up. The applicator is perfect for applying. The shade itself is beautiful, looks like a warm brown on my skin tone.

I’m really excited to buy more shades, it feels like a really great product and the colors are so creative. There’s these bold fun colors and also some neutrals and nudes

personally, i don't like jeffree stars as a person, he's just way too annoying for me
but lets talk about his product
i only own one
it's his liquid lipstick on shade androgyny
color is similar to kat von d - lolita

as for formulation, it feels great and weightless
HOWEVER

i don't like the smell, it smells weird and unappealing
so if i have to choose between js and kvd, i will pick kvd

but if there's interesting color from his product, i probably will try again
as for now, androgyny is enough from jeffree star product

I must say, when I first applied this lipstick, I was quite unsure about whether I'd be into it or not.
But I must say, I'm utterly obsessed with the formula, consistency and finish. Though many matte lipsticks can be painfully drying and disappointing, this lipstick is very light on the lips.
I love a good matte lip, but the awful sticky and ''chappy'' texture of most matte lips do tend to aggravate me..
But you can trust these matte lips to not let you down on a night out. The everlasting coat will not need to be touched up anytime! And the smooth finish, furthermore accentuates the most beautifully flawless liquid lipstick ever!

Was able to get my hands on two sold out shades, Candy Ass and Calabasas.

Both are perfect neutral shades for my fair and warm coloring. Calabasas is a matte terracotta, and Candy Ass is a warm neutral brown with a golden pearl. The colors swatched just like their representation online.

I do not care much for Root beer flavor, but it's tolerable. I would say these liquid lipsticks are the best formula I have worn so far. They stay put, they crack minimally and neither color has faded during wear. I really like that there isn't much glitter fall from the pearlized shade. This is a common complaint from me. They aren't as drying as most.

I don't like the low availability, that may cause me to think about repurchasing, I don't like jumping through hoops to get lipstick.

Overall, I wear them every day. If he reissued the color Calabasas, I'd buy it again.

I find Jeffrey Star utterly annoying, but I really do like this lipstick. The formula is very comfortable for a liquid matte and the staying power is quite good, one of the best. I have "No Tea No Shade" which is a metallic, and a gorgeous color. The formula is quite thick, and nice to work with. One con though, but quite important - I really hate the applicator: the bristles are way too long, so you really need to take your time to get a proper contour, otherwise you can end with an uneven line. I dont understand why the had to make the bristles so long... Especially with the formula. But well, you can always use a brush to correct the line, and I did get used to the applicator as well (but I still hate it)

I bought 3 shades of Jeffree's lipsticks (androgyny, unicorn blood and gemini) in May this year cause I heard so many positive things about them and when they arrived I immediately fell in love with them. I purchased some new lipsticks a while ago (deceased, celebrity skin and family jewels) so I own 6 shades now. Androgyny is the most beautiful shade of lipstick I've ever seen and the other shades are very stunning too. The formula is perfect for me, it's super matte but it doesn't dry out my lips even though my lips are pretty sensitive. Unless I eat oily food the lipsticks will last about 10 hours before I have to re-apply them. It's not that they become ugly after 10 hours, but they can become slightly patchy which isn't too big of a deal. The only shade I own that I need to re-apply more often is unicorn blood because it gets a bit patchy after a couple of hours. I think these lipsticks are not expensive at all for the quality you get. I own more expensive lipsticks that don't last half as long as these do. The only downside to these is that the unscented ones (like androgyny) smell pretty bad. The first time I bought androgyny the lipstick had a smell that resembled cat pee (luckily there's no taste to them and the smell disappeared as soon as the lipstick dried down). I recently repurchased androgyny and now it smells a bit like paint which doesn't really bother me, so that's an improvement. Aside from that I really don't think there's anything negative to say about these lipsticks.

Do I like the company? Noooooope. But posh spice is pretty damn gorgeous. It's very grey, not grey brown, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Wears much better than KVD on me, and isn't actually that dehydrating. Will I buy more? Maybe.

This is definitely the best matte lipstick on the market. I've ordered Butt Naked, Celebrity Skin, Mannequin, Scorpio, Deceased, Family Jewels, Weirdo and Unicorn Blood. I've tried other brands and the one that comes closest in quality to Jefrrey Star Velour Matte lipstick is Too Faced. Two Faced is more drying than this one though. The texture is perfect matte, glides on evenly and easily, it dries up fast and the formula is not drying. Definitely worth the price; I would absolutely re-purchase!
