I have finally found an eyeshadow that can completely survive my hooded, oily eyes. Normally my shadow only lasts 3-6 hours, even on primed lids. Sydney Grace's cream shadow, however, lasted all day until I washed it off before bed. Wow! I bought the shade Boardwalk, which is a deep metallic gold. It came in a large squeeze tube and was very easy to apply with a brush or my finger. It dried down fast, though, so I had to move quickly with the application and blending. I was initially nervous about trying a cream shadow, but I'm thrilled with it now. I did some trial looks with it before I finally decided to wear in on Christmas and be photographed all day. On Christmas I applied it at 8am, and spent the day running around and cooking over a hot stove. Let me tell you, I was stunned to look in the mirror at midnight and see that my eyeshadow was pristine. That has never happened before lol It removed nicely with my oil based cleanser. This cream shadow also makes a nice base for a powder eyeshadow. I liked wearing Mac's Coppering patted over it. There are only two issues I had with it. I wish Sydney Grace made a matte cream shadow. All of the choices were stunning metallics, but they definitely emphasize texture. The second issue is the shelf life is only six months. The tube is huge and one squirt was more than enough for both eyes. I wouldn't buy too many shades at once because it's going to take time to pan them. If you're looking for a long lasting, metallic shadow I definitely recommend trying out Sydney Grace's cream eyeshadows.

In the last year I have become a fan of creating my own eyeshadow palettes with magnetic single pans. Sydney Grace shimmer shadows were strongly recommended for me to try out. A single pan costs $5-6 depending on the color, and there seem to be options for every color! The three I have purchased have all been purples (Mythical, Pandora, and Sweetheart) and unique ones at that! They are all pigmented and have all been easy to pick up and apply, although the shade Pandora did have a lot of fallout. Sweetheart can also be blended to a near matte finish if you choose. They also stay put throughout the day and do not crumble or fade. If you are looking for unique colors, especially if you prefer colorful eyeshadows over neutral ones, Sydney Grace shimmer eyeshadows will probably be a great fit for your collection! Their prices are consistent with other affordable brands and the quality is superb!

Matte Shadow - Dusk

Most Sydney Grace mattes are somewhat satin-matte as opposed to dry/stiff/dusty, and this is one of them. Smooth, opaque, dark neutral grey. I used this dark grey in my eyebrows (which are black) and dear heavens, they looked awesome!  I have a few brow products to use up before I'm able to switch to powder, but I've always loved the look.  It does take me a bit longer, but I'm sure practice could speed it up some.
