To preface this I want to mention that I went all out on the Mother Dirt washing-with-bacteria thing so I don't really use any other products on my face except sunscreen and sometimes vitamin c serum. Anyways, I use this mostly on my face though its also a body wash. It works really well for me. It has cleared up all my small breakouts and I think is starting to improve my skin texture. Using this I don't get clogged-looking pores. I don't really know how drying it could be because I haven't used it in the winter yet and I follow it up with squalane oil but I think your face would be a little tight if you used it and then put nothing on.. otherwise it seems fine. I would highly recommend getting this for your face if you're trying the Mother Dirt mist and actually probably to anyone looking for a mild cleanser with no smell that's good for your natural bacteria while also actually cleaning your skin.

I don't know if this stuff will work for everyone but I really think it's worth a try. I caught wind of this company and loved the concept so I just jumped right in despite not finding that much in the way of other people's experiences on the internet (disclaimer: I am just out of college and not yet employed so I had some time to sit at home and not go out while I was experimenting). I just stopped using soap completely and starting spraying this onto my underarms, hair, face, everywhere after just showering with water. I don't sweat too much so maybe that's why it made the transition so bearable for me but seriously after just a week of smelling a little bit funky everything completely changed. I had multiple people smell test right in my armpits and they didn't smell anything. I'm now a month in and I don't worry about body odor at all and this is even with sweaty crossfit sessions. I definitely worry about BO less than I did back when I was wearing deodorant because I feel like my body just sort of automatically keeps odor to a minimum, even if I don't get a chance to shower first thing in the morning. If I do smell anything from not showering its very faint and way less offensive. I still spray this on my armpits in the morning and at night if I am going out anywhere, both after a quick rinse with water in the shower, but now that I am a month in I have been able to decrease the frequency. On a separate note, I also tried spraying this on my face to see if I could cut down on cleansing/improve skin texture without breaking out and on my chest which has always been very sensitive and acne prone. During the time I was testing this I also only cleansed my face with water. While I didn't really have many breakouts while doing this I did notice that my pores looked more clogged. I bought the Mother Dirt cleanser to see if it worked for my face while letting me preserve the bacteria and its working *really* well with clear skin and I think improved texture. As for my chest, the problem isn't completely cleared up but I think it has improved a lot... not sure if it's because I don't get soap even close to it or if it's the spray but pretty happy with the results Anyways, sorry for the novel. I really recommend the spray/other Mother Dirt products but I suggest if you're really going to try it to just go all in cutting soap and everything because I feel like that's what made the whole transition so easy for me...it's not as crazy of an idea as it sounds at first!

As someone who has tried going no-poo and using "natural" shampoos, I have to say that this product is a bit of a game changer. It doesn't lather and it is supposed to preserve the natural bacteria in your hair. I was expecting it to leave my hair limp/oily/with a lot of residue like other "natural" shampoos but it actually leaves your hair super shiny and healthy-looking like regular shampoo. Also doesn't dry your hair out so I haven't missed not using conditioner. A bit pricey but considering you have to wash your hair less frequently with this I believe that it is worth it. I would highly recommend this product.
