Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum with Hydrating Honey + Gentle Flower Acids

Initially this stings upon application but the serum has a nice creamy texture that absorbs into the skin and feels soft once dry. It does not feel sticky or tacky which is nice for a change. What I don’t understand is why this has more than 50 ingredients in it! Why is this necessary? I’m also not that impressed with the scent. It’s not horrible, just not my cup of tea so to speak. For an exfoliator it does it’s job resurfacing the skin so there are no dry flakes, perfect for alternating nights with a retinol type product which usually causes my skin to have those annoying flaky bits on it.

How is it this smells so strong??? I can’t put my finger on it but there is something positively overwhelming in a lot of these products by Farmacy that I do not enjoy. Which to be honest is unusual because I get on with their Freshen Up All-Natural Deodorant just fine. The cleanser works well, produces a light foamy lather and doesn’t strip my skin. I only have a mini size of this, which came in a kit with a few other products, a great way to test out the brand’s offerings. I won’t repurchase because of the scent though. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I was so excited to receive this based on the glowing reviews. I followed the instructions to a T. Every time I used it, I would wake up with brand new breakouts in places I almost never break out. I tried it about 6 or 7 times before I 100% knew it was this causing it and just gave up on it. If you look at the lower star reviews on this product on Sephora, there are a bunch of reviewers who say the same thing about experiencing breakouts. Also, I saw zero results from it anyway - none of the glowing skin, etc. that other reviewers have described. Also, just as a fun side note, I tried posting this review on Sephora's site and only receive a 'submission' error (tried clearing cache, different browsers, etc). I find this error only happens if I am leaving low star reviews, and have never had this issue with a 4 - 5 star review.
