Dry Shampoo -Drybar -Drybar: Detox dry shampoo

on 2/16/2019 5:21:00 PM

I got this in a holiday kit along with Triple sec and Prep Rally. The smell is an overwhelming Grandma perfume that sticks around for a long time. This does do a great job at absorbing oil for my very fine hair. It is white, but I shake well, spray, let it sit for a minute, then work the powder into my roots with my fingers (takes less than 30 seconds). This gives my hair great texture and truly allows me to wear it down for a second day without washing. This is not the experience I have had with other dry shampoos, which leave my hair looking limp halfway through my second day. I wouldn't re purchase because it's just too expensive and I will try to replace this with a drugstore dry shampoo if I can find one that is as good.

Hair Styling Tools -Drybar -The Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush

This was a bit of an impulse buy...I'd seen a write-up about it in a fashion magazine, and it looked pretty easy to use. When I tripped over it on the Sephora website, I decided to pull the trigger. It's not cheap - $145+ - but it's super easy to use, and it works! I have wavy, frizzy hair that used to be much more curly, but now looks better worn straight, and this device works super fast. I basically just brush it straight on the first pass, then go back and gently turn pieces under on the second pass. Done. Obviously, it will involve a bit more work if your hair is super curly. You can't curl hair like you can with a flat iron, but this is faster. My hair is medium-long, and fairly thick, and I got through everything in about 10 minutes. Note that there is a temperature control - it goes up to 450 degrees. Very happy with this purchase!

Hair -Drybar -Triple Sec 3-in-1

This adds volume, hold, and extends the life of hairstyles on my fine, straight hair without making it look unnatural. I don’t mind the smell, although I can see how other reviews may not love it. I do a light spritz before I blow dry or curl my hair, style, and then do another spray of my whole head. I wish it wasn’t so expensive. Garnier makes a Texture Tease spray that is somewhat similar in volumizing, but it really doesn’t give that nice hold that Triple Sec does. Shake it really, really well before you use it.

Shampoo -Drybar -ON THE ROCKS Clarifying Charcoal Shampoo

The shampoo is just ok but it is like washing your hair with perfume. Save your cash and get something with less fragrance.

So I'm on my second bottle of this. It seems to reduce my blow drying time enough that I don't want to stop using it. I do find I have to use quite a bit and a bottle doesn't last long for the price. Love the scent, doesn't weigh my hair down at all. Would repurchase.
