I use a plethora of stuff too to fortify my moisture barrier. Not just hydrators and moisturisers+

but also gentle cleansing routine. This combination of things allow me to not only use tret but also BHA and LAA. CLEANSING Clinique TTDO Balm - PM

I use BHA 2x/day. Mine is Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads, so not exactly gentle. And I use tret+

PM. But I douse my skin with a lot of hydrating/moisturising layers as well. YMMV.

My HG is the Proactiv dupe sold by Walmart / Walgreens. It's a 2.5% BP lotion, but they sell only+

in a 3 piece kit for about 11-13$. I keep the glyolic toner, and toss the BP cleanser. Often comes w/ a nice sulfur mask/spot tx that is also nice.
