Perfect Setting Powder

I've been looking for a glowy drugstore-priced loose powder to help my makeup last in the summer heat. I was eyeing this powder for a while on Shop Miss A and finally bought the shades Soft Light and Brightening. I mixed the two shades to get the color I wanted and was very happy with the results! The powder made my skin super soft, almost velvety, without being heavy or cakey, and it made my skin look healthy with a soft glow. Prior to buying the AOA powder, I wasted my money on the Elf HD Powder in the shade Soft Luminance. It was ok, but too glittery and I just didn't like how it felt or looked. In comparing the two, I definitely prefer the AOA. The texture is soooooo smooth and soft, and the shimmer, while present, is much more refined and subtle. If you're considering buying the Elf HD powders, I recommend trying the AOA ones first since they seem similar but superior. The containers are small, but I don't have a problem with that because of the price. I like the packaging, it feels nice for how cheap this item is. It's your standard jar with a sifter top, and doesn't have a closure over the sifter (to minimize mess, I only peel back the sifter tape about halfway when I open a loose powder).

$1.55 and some proceeds go to help homeless animals? Yes, please. This is also the best sponge I've ever used--it's soft, the right amount of squish, and makes my makeup look great. Just reinforces that, in some cases, there's no reason to buy anything that costs more than this.

These are awesome lightweight lip glosses! I was interested in lip toppers when the holo trend was going around, and was happy to only spend about $10 on 10 of these colors. I didn't notice any scent, which is preferable to an unpleasant one. The texture of the gloss is smooth, not sticky, and the glitter particles don't feel gritty or noticeable at all. They can, however, travel on your face. I docked 1 lipstick because the packaging, while nice and heavy (feels high quality), isn't the best. The caps came unglued from the doe-foot base on at least one gloss (though still usable), and the paint on the caps will chip. Not a deal breaker though. These are worth it!
