I just received my sample of this lovely green chypre in the mail today and was so glad I'd chosen it-- it will easily become one of my favorite springtime scents!
The blending of notes in Ayalitta is practically seamless-- certainly I can smell the oakmoss, touches of the jasmine and rose, but overall, I just get a crisp, friendly green. No Calyx coldness or Cristalle glitter. This is a happy scent, very uplifting, and linear in a way that is never boring.
Of course, we can all bemoan the lack of sillage and lasting-power, but that's the compromise we must make with natural perfumes. Actually, while the sillage leaves much to be desired, my rather stingy application has lasted for the last 6 hours, to my great joy!
This should really be a 4.5, with half a lip gone due to the difficulty of getting through my day with one wrist glued to my nose! ;)

I experience synesthesia more with some perfume lines than others, and Ayala’s perfumes give me this experience more often than most. I hear them as well as smell them. Ayalitta is a high clear ringing bell. She’s like a joyful precocious child whose parents bring her to your adult party: at first she’s a delight and a wonder, and everyone’s charmed by her, but as the evening wears on and she keeps making plays for everyone’s attention, you wish she’d been left at home with a babysitter. Ayalitta is the only one of Ayala Moriel’s amazing compositions that I’m not wild about: I can appreciate it, it just isn’t for cranky old me.

When sniffing right from the bottle, it is very herbal and mossy from the galbanum, sage and clary sage. When applied, it still maintains that herbal and mossy feel and warms up right away due to the oakmoss and labdanum. The jasmine and rose are there to give it a nice floral touch. A true chypre.

Chypre, Green. Starts off strongly green with a nice presentation of galbanum. Sage continues to contribute to the leafy aroma, but the perfume avoids dryness with a blend of gentle, modest florals. Patchouli moves to the forefront, still scented by the green notes and a well-rounded oakmoss. At the base is a gorgeous, honeyed labdanum. This was just the right green, outdoorsy, yet warm scent for which I was searching. On my skin, it is fresh, sweet, delicately scented light patchouli and amber, aeromatic like a cup of fine tea. When I wear in the countryside, it meshes beautifully with the summer foliage. This fragrance took to my skin immediately. I love it.
