Great cleanser! Every other cleanser was over-drying my sensitive acne-prone skin because of the ingredients but not this one. Plus I love how it smells and lathers my skin. If you want to go for something that won't harm your skin and cause more breakout, this will help.
This stuff is Fabulous if your acne prone and oily yes it can sting your eyes but why would you rub cleanser on your eyes or by your eyes if your eyes are open?! Haha anyways I really like this as my basic go to cleanser helps control oil without over drying or making your skin red and flaky.
I use acne.org which dries your face out (but works great) This is nice because its natural doesn't have anything harsh in the ingredients.
I love this stuff. I have sensitive acne prone skin that super greasy in some spots and really dry in others. I've tried lots of other face washes of all prices and this is by far my favorite. It is gentle yet strong enough to really clean. I haven't had nearly as many break outs, my blackheads have decreased, and overall my skin is just brighter. After washing I like to let it sit for a minute before rinsing it off, it might just be me making things up, but I think it works even better this way. I even stopped using a scrub, and I replaced my foam cleanser that I used with my clarisonic with this also. It's been approximately four months since I started using this and have had zero negative side effects (they usually appear after a month, two the absolutely longest). I've recommended it to friends, its worked for most who tried it, one who has particularly oily skin didn't find that it cleansed enough for it.
This made my whole face break out, and under my chin and on my neck, after 2 or 3 uses. I really wanted to love this since it smells good, foams up nicely and is a decent price but there's no way I can keep using it. Alba has some really good products but this one just didn't work for me.
At first this was working really well. Like the smell, natural ingredients, no breakouts (which usually happens when i try something new), and cleaned really well. Almost wrote a "glowing" review UNTIL one night I used as usual, and my face turned beet red and started burning. What is up with that!!!! Definitely hit the garbage can.
I have oily, acne-prone skin and I was looking for a gentle cleanser. I choose this because it has more natural ingredients and it seemed to have good reviews.
I use this product when I'm in the shower after I've already removed my makeup, so I cant say whether or not it works well to remove makeup. When I first started using this, it dried my skin out. I stopped using it for a few weeks and when I started using it again, it didn't dry my skin out, so I don't know whats up with that...I think because during the time I started using this I was changing my skin routine.
I notice that this cleanser make my skin feel clean and a bit softer. It also doesn't irritate or break me out, which is always a plus. The scent is nice, but some people may not like it. To me it's a nice fresh fruity type of scent.
I am going it use what I have up, but as of repurchasing, I might if it is on sale. I definitely like it but I'm not in love with it. I would recommend it if youre looking for something that is on the natural side of skincare products that is gentle and cleansing.
Personally for a gentle cleanser for oily/acne-prone skin I prefer the yes to tomatoes facial cleanser. I find that it really made my skin softer and brighter throughout continuous use although I feel like its not as cleansing as the pineapple cleanser (but that may just be me)
After using a high-end department store brand for over a year, I decided to become more environmentally-friendly and switch to a product that did not test on animals nor contain animal products. I did my research and settled on alba facial products (their body lotion is amazing!) and ordered it online. I learned that the cleanser does not remove my foundation -- I had to SCRUB with a washcloth until my skin was irritated, then follow with the toner on a cotton ball, which was covered with foundation, then repeat, because my skin was still dirty. I then followed with a moisturizer, hopin that my skin was clean by that time. After using these "natural" products for one week, I now have bumps on my 56-year old skin for the first time in 3 years.
I am now using a 100% natural glycerine soap, followed by a wipe of witch hazel (with a touch of aloe) and a mild moisturizer. My alba facial products are in the garbage.
I have combo skin. I use this mostly in the summer and spring. Makes me feel refreshed, clean and doesn't make my sensitive skin break out.
I like the clean scent as well.
I use this for daily cleansing without getting dryed out.
The pump dispences a bit much but if you only push it 1/2 down it gives a better amount.
I use this as my first wash and then the cocunut cleanser as my second wash at night (I have realy oily skin). I aslo use it alone in the morning. this wash is nondrying and does not break me out. So gentel I can use it in the days after a peel and it helps my skin not look so dry and flaky.
