Okay, wow. This is by far my most favorite lip product. Ever. I have two of these, one in a bright, classic red called Kink and one in a dark bloody vampire red called Rubber. They are so beautiful! Pleather lip pencils truly look like a finished, smooth, and somewhat shiny lipstick. In other words, it kinda looks like pleather. :) It's like a sexy little dress for your lips. It's bold, rich, and doesn't fade for some hours. My only problem is that it gets stuck on my teeth! But I think I have that problem with most lipsticks. Mmm. Really amazing stuff. I'm wearing Kink in my picture with red lips on my profile!

These pencils go on smooth and feel great, more like a gloss. I've noticed that I run out more quickly than I do with lipsticks, however. Personally, I find it better to apply a gloss or balm to the lips before putting the pencil on, because its easier to blend this way. I'd definitely buy again.

I love the feel of this pencil. At first I was skeptical because I thought it would be oily, but it wasn't. I have this in Rubber (a deep maroon) and Kink (bright red). Both go well with my caramel skin tone. I love red lipstuff and these are definitely in my collection.

I have this product in two colors: Rubber, which is a dark maroon color, & Kink, which is a bright red. They are so easy to use. They are VERY shiny and I usually blot my lips before I go out. The colors are highly pigmented. They definitely make a statment. They go on easily and last a long time. My only complaint is the packaging, which could be better. But I like that each pencil comes with its own sharpner. continued >>

THIS STUFF IN "RUBBER" IS EVIL! I swear! Got all over my face and when I went to recap some of the lipliner got on the cap, ew. Maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones with this or I should just try another shade. Thank god this color is d/c because it's a horrible shade! It's like the dollar store maroon lipstick that you get all over your face yuck.

I love these pencils - they're bright and glossy, strong and sexy. Even though I'm a goth girl, I think the darker colours in this line are classy and would look good on many people with a bit of daring and attitude! The darker shades are kind of a bold/bright dark rather than a deep one, anyway. It does feather (a careful application/and/or lip liner should handle this), but I've stocked up as these shades make a dramatic statement from lush to wild! It is stuff like this that made Urban Decay famous in the first place! Try these for a pigment-rich look with a moist, glossy finish in a variety of shades from nude to dark plum!

I eBayed for this in Rubber, and I'm glad I didn't spend a lot because NO WAY would I leave the house with this on my lips!!
The product itself is great quality, very intense and (I found) quite matte and velvety. There's no unpleasant taste and the only problem would be that the pencil is so soft it's a little hard to apply neatly.
My problem is with the colour. A deep, intense pigment is fine, except when it's Morticia Addams Maroon... This would be great for a gothic look, but anyone else needs to steer clear!! :D

I have this in Kink and I love it. I have very light skin, grey eyes and blond hair and I have a very hard time finding a red lip color that doesn't make me look cheap. this is it. It is awesome. I was expecting a more shiny finish but love it as it is. I cannot wait to get the asphixia one!

I LOVE these! I have Nude Perversion and Rubber - and they're So fab! I love the texture and the versatility. Sometimes I use them as my whole look - liner and lippie in one, sometimes I use as my liner, sometimes I stain my lips with them and rub in - then top with a lipgunk.... Lips are my thing! I love most of the Urban Decay range. I feel as if it was specially designed for ME!

i LOVE the color of this lipstick! i have this in rubber, a shiny, dark red-burgundy-maroon. i have searched all over for the perfect deep lip color, and for me, this is it. i like the fat pencil, too. makes it easier (imo) to be precise, though i still use a lipbrush for the edges. i only took off a lippy because it does crease a bit, after an hour 1/2 or so. but the finish is good, and this color is not too plum, not too red, not too brown, not too pink... just the perfect color, esp. for cool tone skin (i'm pale olive). my only recommendation with this is to go easy on the eyes, and make sure you have a little blush on. otherwise, you end up looking either like a hooker or morticia adams. other than that, go for it!

I have this in Lucky and Naked and I love them so very much. But they are so expensive.. Just a tip...The color of Naked ($14) is almost exactly equal to the color of Avon lip glaze in "Blush" ($2.99 on sale) with similar pigmentation and shine.

Very, very boring. I got this in the hot box and am glad I didn't buy the whole product. There is no shine, and the color is so ho-hum. I have at least 3 or 4 drugstore lipsticks in the same range, but far less expensive.

I don't own this, but I did test it at Nordstrom (with my hand, duh). Kink is described as "luscious pure red" and looks to be a very sexy blood red in the swatch on the site, but it was very fuchsia on my skin, and the texture was weirdly greasy and not very shiny at all. Bleh. Hopefully that pencil had just been sitting out too long...

Again, Urban Decay has me addicted. The pleather pencil is so slick and easy to use. The texture is very soft and glides right on. Not as shiny as you'd think (judging by the name), but the color lasts and is very strong. I have this in two colors; Asphyxia and Kink. Asphyxia is awesome! It's a very bright hot pink with purplish sheen. I love it so much and the color never bleeds outside my lip-line. As for Kink, again the color is absolutely wonderful, it is the first TRUE RED I have been able to find in a lip pencil/lipstick. Not too bright, not too dark. BUT... unfortunately it bleeds on me so I don't wear it very often (must find a good lip sealant). I would suggest this to anyone who likes UD's vivid colors.

Hype. This pencil requires a lip liner for precision, and for that I may as well get a lipstick + liner. I didn't like fat crayons when I was using Crayola at age four and they are still hard to draw with. Also, there isn't much pleather action going on, nothing even close to the "gleaming, patent-leather" description given at sephora.com. Just marketing! I was sort of expecting a Dior Plastic effect or MAC lip lacquer, but nope, just lipstick in fat pencil form. Rubber is a great color, though. Sadly, I'd probably buy it again - if I had the extra cash and bought a fat sharpener - simply because of UD's great packaging and appeal and despite my reality check. Here's me, another easily-influenced consumer.

Love the texture and easy application. It is like a liner and lipstick in one. However the color does not suit my skin coloring. (I have Nude) And to get the clean lip liner look, I have to sharpen it every time before I use it, which makes it costly because 1 pencil does not last very long.

Best chubby "pencil style" lipsticks out there!!! They are extremely SMOOTH & soft- just GLIDE right on!! Yes, they are a little small- but honestly, you don't need to sharpen them that often- will last a very long time!! I've got Kink (dark pure red) & Rubber (a very dark maroon color) & am swapping for O (vivid pink) rt now. I'm really hoping they expand their color selection more- most of the colors are very dramatic/glam- which I love, don't get me wrong- but the formula of these is so awesome, it'd be great if they made a few more "toned-down" pinky~brown neutral/every day wear kind of shades. continued >>

got this in Naked, supposedly a YLBB shade, and since they didn't have a tester I took a chance. Well, for me, it's a YL shade. Not better but exactly the same. It applied nicely, gave a nice subtle shine, but the color blended exactly into my natural shade. I mean, why spend $$ when I can get the same effect by using a lipbalm? Oh well! It seems like a nice product if you find a color that enhances your natural shade. Naked is a pinky-mauve with a touch of mocha. Oh, also the pencil is shorter than you might expect when looking at the box. This is because they include a sharpener, which is nice, but takes up a full 25% of the box length.
