Fall 2012 FM came out w/new coffrets...one for women, one for men and one w/all his fragrances. This is how I got started on the line but they have not offered these sets in a very long time (about 10 yrs.). I bought the set for women, $285 for 15 scents in 5 ml sprays. You get all the fragrances except the 3 geared strictly to men-French Lover, Geranium, Vetiver. Also you get Cologne Bigarade and not the Concentree version. This set is nice to have because it gives you a whole wardrobe of fragrances & you can pick what you feel like wearing at the moment. I find that FM's fragrances are quite potent and 5ml of many of them are big enough sizes to actually last me quite awhile. What I am going through quickly are the Cologne Bigarade & L'Eau d'Hiver and I quite like those-may need full bottles soon!

An excellent idea from Frederic Malle, this is a set of 12 5ml sprays, one of each of his fragrances. The sprays come in a smart and sturdy thick board box, about 6"x4"x4", which contains a sponge block with a hole for each spray. This protects them perfectly in transit. The sprays themselves are thumb-sized plain glass bottles without lid. A regular perfume sample is usually 1-2ml, so, as you can imagine, with a 5ml spray you get several applications. This is a very useful feature in appreciating some of the more complex creations, which can be hard to get the measure of in just one sampling. You get a total amount of 60ml, or 2oz, of fragrance, which makes the price of 75 € seem a little more reasonable. You can order the test kit from Malle's website. The only problem I can see with this kit is that you will inevitably not like all of the fragrances, so there will be some left over. But then, that's what swapping is for! continued >>
