For its softness to the eye area, I do like it, but I didn't notice any reduction in the puffiness/bags department. Smells nice and applies nicely. SILKY texture. I mix a bit in my moisturizer and I do like that my face feels soft. For that alone, I guess I'd repurchase. Also, this doesn't sting the eye area. Seems to be very gentle, as I haven't had any problems with it. I just think it works better as a face cream. UPDATE: Seems to no longer work for me, in the eye area, as it now makes my eyes blow up like a puffer fish; kinda like I'd been in a boxing ring getting my eyes punched out by George Foreman. SERIOUSLY, they looked that BAD, I kid you NOT! And everyone who saw them were shocked. "What the hell happened to you?!" NOT good. Also, after it left me looking like Mrs. Puff, it began to peel under my eyes, and they itched terribly! SUCKS it didn't work for me as I loved it! :(

This is the only eye cream product that has actually worked for the dryness I have a constant battle with! I absolutely love it. While the reviewer below said it 'balls up" it is easily fixable; just lightly pat it into your skin and it will absorb right in! It can be used alone or underneath makeup but I suggest letting it set in before applying anything over it. Within a couple of weeks I could tell the difference it made.
I can't say the same for their other products (which I will review) but what I can say is that when I purchased new face stuff to replace Merlot's facial care I stopped using this eye cream. My eyes went dry once again.
The packaging isn't the greatest but then again I don't ever touch the stuff w/dirty hands so it's not a big deal. The price is cheap considering what it does and I will definitely buy again :)

I did not like this eye cream. It balls up when it dries and the texture in runny and sticky. It also does not seem to moisturize either. I like Merlot's day moisturizer pretty well however.

I bought this during the weekend for $14.99 at Ulta. I was quite hesitant because I haven't really done much research on it, but I just needed an eyecream really bad, and this seemed to match some of my needs. When I opened it, it practically SPILLED on me! The consistency is SO runny! It takes a little effort to rub it in, but it'll rub in. I have lines under my eyes and little bit of puffiness, and this hasn't really made it's mark yet. I guess that the lines are a LITTLE less noticeable, but This isn't a miracle product. I definitely don't mind the packaging. I prefer eye creams in this form.
Overall, I didn't really like this product. I'll continue using this for a while, but I've got my eyes set on the Burt's Bees one when I'm done!

I bought this product because I had been using the Merlot Moisturizer and wanted to try the eye cream. I have been using it for probably close to a year now and I still have the same tub. I'm only 23 years old so I don't have a lot of eye issues such as wrinkles or dark under eye circles. However I do wake up with some puffiness under my eyes. Originally I bought this cream just as a moisturizing product for my eyes because at the time they were super dry around my lower eyelid area. I do notice that this stuff is GREAT for puffiness. I wake up some mornings with puffiness and this stuff sucks the puffiness right now. It may work differently on someone with different skin and of a different age.
Overall, I like this product a lot. I would repurchase, but when it finally does run out I may try the yes to cucumbers eye gel for a while since that has good reviews too and I like to try other things.

I bought this because of the great reviews and all the positive things people said about it, if not for that I would have continued to pass it by even though its right next to the Lumene and other specialty skin care items at Ulta.
I am 25 and look very young. My eye area doesn't get puffy or dark very often but I think it feels dry sometimes. So really no major problems with my eye area but after using this my eyes look even brighter and tighter. I use it day and night and you can't see it under my makeup during the day. It's a light gel and it sinks into my skin.
i have been using this only for about a week so I will update this review after I've been using it longer, I'm sure I will only have great things to say.

I bought this and hardly used it because it looked so cheap. The packaging is so plain, and the product itself is runny. Then eventually, I ended up giving it to a friend. She raved about it, and I hadn't seen her since I gave it to her and when I saw her next, which was about 3 months later, I was amazed at how good her eyes looked. She has some puffiness, but nothing too dramatic, and the same goes for me, but when I have puffiness, I want something that will take it away now, not something I have to use for 3 wks before I start to see results. After seeing how good my friends eyes looked, I went and repurchased it, and noticed a big difference after just one application. Who cares if it looks cheezy, I guess it's better than being expensive and ineffective!

I have managed most of my years without separate eye products, but in my 40's I see little puffy bags every morning, and a general tired look all day. This super affordable eye treatment instantly helps smooth out and tone up the slack puffy areas- which is all I wanted from it. If you have dark circles or very dry eyes, I'm not sure if this will help you. It is a very thin light lotion that should be in a pump, not a jar. But it is only $13 an oz. It does not ball up or become sticky, but absorbs totally. So glad I found this.

I should get paid for testing all the eye creams I buy. I found another winner with this. Boy, this really does a good job at depuffing the eyes and eliminating bags. ****Instant Results**** I really can't comment on it's ability to reduce circles because I have dark ones and no eye cream will rid them completely but some do "lighten" them a tad bit. I guess time will tell if this will have an impact on my circles. As for the consistency with this e/c, I really don't like it. This cream is VERY runny and it comes in a jar so it's hard to apply it. It reminds me of Elmer's glue and I did find it a bit sticky to the touch. Applying this e/c is tricky, like other reviewers, you can't rub this in because it will just move around and pile up and refuse to sink into the skin. I dab my middle finger in the jar and pat in quick motions all around the eye until the product is absorbed. Also, this e/c does take a while to sink into the skin (about a few minutes) then it's okay to apply makeup. After the e/c works into the skin, makeup does look great over it. Lastly, the feel of this e/c gives off a slight "tight" feeling. It feels like you are making chinese eyes w/ your two index fingers pulling the eyes out a bit but very slight, nothing too uncomfortable. The packaging looks cheap, industrial and generic. But, I consider $12.00 to be very inexpensive for e/c and feel that it does give nice instant results. Because you only need so little, this 1 oz jar will last a long time. Merlot Grape Seed e/c is certainly in my top 5 list of e/c. I took a lippie off because I really hate the runny consistency and so far, does nothing in lightening dark circles.
UPDATE: I stopped using this e/c due to getting zits on my eye lids and under my eyes. For the record, this is the only e/c that broke me out on my eyes! Because the formulation is so thin, it would migrate below my eye skin and cause clogged pores just under my circles. Oh well, it was amazing at reducing puffiness and bags. So, it you aren't sensitive or acne-prone, I would still recommend this.

GO BUY THIS NOW!!! If you have really puffy, baggy eyes..this is definitely for you! It just flattens out and tightens your eye area like no other!!
I have tried so many damn eye creams its not even funny, and this is one of the best I've ever tried.(and really cheap) Run dont walk to Walgreens or get it on their online site.=)
I also have really sensitive eye skin and this does not bother me at all. There is a way to use this product to receive optimum results...the best way I have found is to take a small amount and PAT it into your skin..do not rub! when i rubbed it..it sort of spread and kind of pilled up. But if you pat and then let it absorb..about three mins...then put your makeup up...presto! look beautiful!

I use this as my night eye cream, and I think it works great. My eye area definitely tends to get a little dry, and this cream really keeps it hydrated, even if I skip using a cream in the mornings. I don't use this cream during the day because it is very runny and, even though it absorbs quickly, doesn't wear well under makeup, even if I wait an hour for it to fully set. But since I already had a favorite day eye cream, I can't complain, so I feel like I get the best of both. Again, this stuff is very runny, so be very careful with the jar. If you have it tilted just a little bit while you're opening it, it will spill. But because it is so runny, it sinks in fast and is very lightweight, which is great. It also kind of smells like... Fruity Pebbles? Fruit Loops? So that's a little odd, but not bothersome. As for the price - I think I paid about $14 at Walgreens. That may seem pretty high for DS eye cream, but you really do get a ton of product in the jar. You only need to use the smallest amount for it to do it's job. As for the jar's claim that it reduces puffiness and circles, I can't say I've seen a difference, but I didn't have those issues to begin with. I think this cream works well for me and I'd purchase this again.

I've used this product for just a week and I've noticed that I look a lot less tired. The puffiness has gone down substantially. The smell is good and the amout you get for the price is a steal.
The one thing that I noticed wais that it takes a while before I can put my makeup on in that area. since it seems to beed up a bit. I'm going to try to put on less prodcut and give it a moment to set in prior to applying my make up.
I will keep you update.

Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Brown, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown

I wanted a night time eye cream. I have oily acne-prone skin. Not really any wrinkles (yet!), since I'm still young. There's some slight darkness under the inner corners of my eyes, but nothing a thin layer of concealer can't get rid of. In the mornings, sometimes I'll wake up with a bit of puffiness under my eyes.

This eye cream claims to reduce puffiness/circles/wrinkles with the help of red grape seed polyphenols and antioxidants. It's also supposed to be suitable for all skin types.

The only place I know that carries Merlot skincare is Walgreens, and this retails for about $13.

You get a 1 fl. oz. tub (not very sanitary, I know. Just wash your hands before dipping your fingers in there). The cream itself is an off-white color (no dyes or artificial fragrance). The consistency was a little thinner than I expected. Not really a thick cream, but more of a slow-moving pancake batter-type consistency (If you turned the jar over to the side, you could pour it out). The size may seem small, but considering how VERY little you need, this can easily last a few months.

It has a very vague grape smell. It isn't sickly sweet or overwhelming. People who are sensitive to smells shouldn't have a problem with it. The smell doesn't linger after application either.

I apply this at night after washing my face. I dab it on my eye contour area with my ring or pinkie finger. Dab. Not RUB! it absorbs fairly easily. Doesn't feel greasy or oily.

Upon waking up the next morning, I do notice that my skin around my eye area does feel very soft. I have slight morning puffiness, and this seems to have toned it down a bit. The eye area does look a little bit smoother. I haven't noticed any reduction in undereye discoloration, but then again, my undereye circles aren't that dark to begin with, so it's hard to tell.

For what I was initially looking for (an eye cream to simply moisturize my sensitive eye area) this was a great find, especially with the anti-puffiness. I can't vouch for it's anti-wrinkle claims since I don't have wrinkles, but if you're young and looking for a good eye cream for preventative purposes and general moisturizing, this one is pretty good.

UPDATE (Jul.28.2011) : I think I'm a little more than halfway through the tub, but I don't think I will repurchase. 4 to 3 lippies. I did like this a lot the first time I bought it (my first eye cream), but after using it for a while, I think I'm going to look for something a little bit more moisturizing, especially since I live in such a dry climate. But I still think this is an okay buy for people with younger skin.

I LOVE this eye lotion. I use this morning and night, year round. I'm not sure if it gets rid of wrinkles (I didn't buy it for that, it's not a concern of mine yet) but it does moisturize very well. What I love about it the most, is if I feel a little more dry than normal, I can add another layer and it never gets too heavy, it absorbs quickly. It has a very nice scent, not too strong, and does not sting my eyes if I get it in them. I've also applied it to tiny dry patches on my eye and it didn't hurt. Also, this product lasts a long time, I think I had mine for a year before a ran out, or maybe longer, I'm not sure. I highly recommend this product for all ages, it's easily the best I've used.

Great at reducing puffiness-but results don't really last. I love it when it first goes on-seems to light up my eye area and depuff but the puffies return and it seemed to ultimately be drying my eye are out. I double checked the ingredients and saw that it has glycolic acid in it wich is a form of AHA-this may explain the dryness and slight irritation of my eyes. If this is an AHA thing, it may pay off to stick out the dryness to see if my skin adjusts as AHA products usually state that this is a common side effect that will eventually pass but, I'm not willing to take the chance of possibly burning my eye area which is already so damaged from my stupid sun worshipping days! moving on...

Great purchase! I decided to give this a try after reading the positive MUA reviews, since I've been looking for an effective eye cream that'll stave off the fine lines I've been getting of late (I'm only 26!). As others have mentioned, it's nicely moisturizing (my fine lines are less visible), it doesn't smear your makeup, it diminishes puffiness, and the price is unbeatable for the amount of product that you receive. The disadvantages are relatively small. The packaging could be more hygenic and attractive (comes in a tub with no seal), and it takes a little time for the product to absorb into your skin. Previously, I had been using Clinique's All About Eyes, which did absolutely nothing. This is much better. I will repurchase.
UPDATE: I just bought my second jar of this, and to be honest, I'm not as pleased as I was with the first jar. The product has been making my eyes sting like crazy each time I apply it... not sure what's up with that, but it does give me pause. Perhaps it's time to try something new...

I am in love with this product. I don't think it hydrates well, or smoothes fine lines or anything like that, in which you can use another eye cream for. But it works EXCELLENT FOR PUFFINESS. I keep waking up with puffy halfway shut eyes, and it usually doesn't go away for hours normally...and it's awful...but with this merlot eye cream, it INSTANTLY sucks out the puffiness, and smoothes your eye. There is a bit of residuey foam around your eye, but I have no problem with that, it eventually absorbs. GREAT stuff for puffiness, wowie!!! I will buy it again for that, and it's a decent price $12.99,,will probably last awhile...yeah! Not too fond of the Merlot face cream tho, only as an SPF cream that's non greasy.

After reading all the raves I got it immediatedly because one of my major skin problem is the driness of my eye area. First I would like to say that this thing stings so much if it gets into the eye. Second this does not absorb fast into the skin, instead when swiped on it foams to become white and it takes a while for it to sink in (like about 1 min or so). However, this product doesn't make me break out at all. I use it on the entire face sometimes just because the jar is gigantic with lots of product. I haven't yet felt anything special after 2 months of intermittent usage. Will update review later if any miracle happens.
