1.Nice even#Natural radiance
2.Very quick and easy to put on (before work!)
3.Product has nice texture (not sticky but fresh)
4.Shade was suitable (Mac nc35/c4.5)
5. Easy packaging, take it anywhere
1. Lots of blemishes/marks? Dont rely on this for coverage. I have light marks :( they dont get hidden but I.. well... i just dont care anymore :)
2. Doesnt last all day (v.oily skin here n nope ots gone completely after abt 4hrs) pores become visible etc BUT its not an embarrasing oil bream through....more just light oiliness.
3.Apply too much ...look ghostly...you dont need excessive
If you have very oily skim but want just a nice even quick finish this is very good. It looka super natural and sits on the skin very nicely. If younhave deep acne..marks etc that u want covered you will need a concealer.
I wear it before work because im trying to wear less make up now and it takes 2 mins. Yay.
First of all, is this really meant for oily skin..? I have normal/dry skin and I can use this without any problem (with a good moisturizer underneath). I don't really have spots (not counting the occasional pre-menstrual ones) but I do have big pores and some blackheads, especially around my nose. This BB cream covers them up fine and also works on getting rid of them (the blackheads, not the big pores. Unfortunately ;)!). It also masks red bits brilliantly without being too covering, I would say it covers light to medium and you can wear multiple layers to get more coverage. The colours available are light and medium, which are both pretty light. I bought both in a 2 for 1 special at my local ds to mix up as the light is too light and the medium a tad too dark.
I don't have a lot of experience with bb creams but I do like this one. It's nice and light and matches well to my pale skin. I do find that it makes my skin get little bumps if I wear it too frequently but so do most foundations so it wouldn't stop me getting it again. The claim that it makes your skin better is false imo.
If you get the choice to get this one or maybellines other bb cream (dream fresh maybe?) GET THIS ONE! The other one is a complete different formula and is rubbish!
I actually love this product ! It's not oily it blends so well matches my skin colour perfectly and covers my pimple marks and redness ! Definitely buying this again when it runs out (I use it as foundation sometimes too!)
Maybelline recently had a series of 50% off sales in Australia, and I bought a few products and have been loving all of them so far. Before the Dream Pure BB I have only used the Korean versions that tend to be either too dry or too oily and heavy. I was looking for a base product that I can safely use in summer, and my friend told me that I HAVE to try it if I have combination skin. I thought, alright, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I got both the light and medium shade... because light is...too light, and medium is a bit too dark... I have to mix the two for a good match for my skin colour. The packaging is adorable, and the hole where the product gets squeezed out is quite small, so it is very easy to control how much product you want (no waste!). The formula is a bit more runny than the Korean BB creams, but I like build-able formulas, so it was right up my alley. I have to do 2 layers for it to get to my desired coverage, dust with loose powder and it's a nice and natural dewy finish. It feels light, and the oil free formula ensures that my face doesn't get oily for about 3~4 hours before I have to touch up, which is pretty impressive for my experience with BB creams. My skin seems to absorb most of it though... when I remove makeup at the end of the day, there's usually not a lot of pigment on my cleansing wipes, and my skin does feel a bit more smooth than when I use foundation. I have experienced hot days with this product, it fared quite well against the heat and stays on most of my face (nose is always very bad...). I don't think I'll be using Korean BB creams again...
I didn't excpect much from this product, since my previous experiences from bb cremes haven't been really good. However, this is one of the best makeup products I've ever bought!
This bb cream feels so light on my skin, no wait, I don't feel it on my skin at all! And still it gives light-medium coverage, covering my redness super well! I'm quite pale so 'light' matches my skin perfectly. It makes my skin look soft and semi-matte. My skintone also looks really great, and as I already said, I don't see any redness when using this bb cream. It even lasts on my skin for the whole day!
Only con about this product is that after a long day it can make you look just a little bit oily, especially on the t-zone. But you can probably fix that with some powder.
The packaging is cute and easy to use. Price is also great. I recommend this to everyone!
I have a really light skin and I rarely find products to match it. I was in constant need of foundations and I have bought many so far. When I have decided to give this bb cream a try I expected high quality, considering the price. I am a little bit disappointed because it doesn't last as long as I wish, but it gives a natural look.As I have many freckles ,I am interested in partially covering them. I must say,the bb cream does a really good job in this respect. It also covers the small imperfections. It's the best option for me and I would buy it again. The only weak point is the durability.
I usually wear rimmel London's 25 hour foundation and I brought this cause I although I love the rimmel one I wanted a change something light and natural and this is so good, it looks more natural but lasts all day too, I set it with the rimmel stay matte powder, you can wear this in thick layers if you did want to wear out at thick it's more like a light foundation then a bb cream but then again I tend to use heaps of product with any foundation haha. Only complaint I still have to use concealer on my undereye circles but for hot Australian summer this will be good since it's light with SPF 15 (which is all I really need as I never burn anyway) I love this not quite as much as rimmel 25 hours as that is my HG foundation but this comes in second best definitely my HG bb cream!
I am extremely fair and find it difficult to find a Western BB cream which is light enough for my skin tone. Finally I have found it in Maybelline! The shades adjust well to your skin tone and blend well into the skin. However, my mum uses the medium shade and I would not describe her as having medium skin. Someone with true medium to darker skin would struggle to find a match.
However, for me this product is great. It blends well into the skin, looks very natural but still provides good coverage. It covers blemishes and hyper pigmentation and offers a medium coverage. It creates a matte look to the skin and controls shin well throughout the day, even without powder. Also the lasting powder is incredible!! It usually lasts a good 12 hours on my skin. The other day I applied it at 6am before work and it was skill on my face when I returned home from a night out at 12pm - and this was with only one touch up!
The only thing I don't like about the product is that it contains 2% salicylic acid. Salicylic acid does nothing for my skin and therefore doesn't enhance this product. However that is a personal preference and doesn't change how much I love this BB cream.
Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream is the brand's "1st blemish fighting BB packed with eight great skin benefits! With 2% Salicylic Acid and SPF 15. For oily - combination skin." Maybelline goes as far as to call Dream Pure the "1 step wonder to healthy skin today, clearer skin tomorrow". The eight benefits this product boasts are:
2% Salicylic Acid+Vitamins
Oil free, non greasy
Adjusts to skin tone
I believe this BB Cream is exclusive to Australia and England, let me know if it's available in your country as well. Unfortunately, Maybelline offers only two shades - light and medium, I'll be reviewing light. The Dream Pure BB Cream contains 30ml (1 fl oz). I picked my tube up at Priceline for about $17 AUD. Sadly, Maybelline products are tested on animals. This BB Cream was made in France.
Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream comes in packaging nearly identical to that of it's better known sister product - Dream Fresh BB Cream. Dream Pure comes in a pale, opaque squeeze tube with a light blue cap. The product name is written on the tube in big, playful letters. The eight skin benefits, directions, and a full ingredient list can be found on the back of the tube. All lettering on the tube is a very pretty light blue. Packaging is recyclable.
Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream is more like a light foundation than a BB Cream in my opinion. Compared to the Dream Fresh BB, the Dream Pure BB is on the thicker, creamier side; though its an average consistency in comparison to your standard foundation. Maybelline's Dream Pure BB is a little fussy during application, it really needs to be worked into the skin. When applies with fingers this BB Cream can look streaky and fails to really meld with the skin, taking several minutes to dry down and set and even then it looks noticeable. On the other hand, this tinted moisturizer applies nicely with a damp sponge, though it sheers the product out significantly, so you may want to apply two layers. This 'acne fighting' BB Cream offers light coverage that can be built up to medium. I've never used a product with salicylic acid before, and I wasn't sure how my skin would react. Honestly, it didn't work out that well - it seems as though Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream gave me acne instead of fighting it. After my first application I developed a handful of large, hard, painful pimples - the remainders of which can be seen in my before&after shot. I also noticed that my skin on my outer cheeks developed a bumpy texture with mild itchiness. The reaction only increased after each application. I'm not sure if my skin is just reactive to salicylic acid or if this product is comedogenic. Short term, this BB Cream is good for controlling oil, but the wear time is short, varying between 3-6 hours. This base product does not stand up well to the the heat. This is a fragrance free product, but it has a bit of a chemically smell that does linger for a few minutes.
Light is an alright match for me, as usual it is a shade or two dark for me, but works out if I blend it down my neck, which is darker and warmer than my face. As promised, this BB Cream does adjust to my skin tone to an extent - enough to make it wearable. Light is a neutral to slightly yellow toned shade that's definitely on the darker end of the "light" spectrum, if you know what I mean. Dream Pure goes on luminous, but dries to a natural matte finish. This shade is really good for neutralizing my abundant redness (some of which caused by this very product).
Things didn't really work out well between Maubelline's Dream Pure BB Cream and I. I feel like I'm probably sensitive to the salicylic acid in this product. For a product targeted to oily skins, it doesn't wear very well on my normal to combo skin. Coverage is decent, though you need to take your time to work with the finnicky formula. Light is workable for me, though I'd appreciate a light shade. The shade range is extremely limited - which is an unfortunately common problem in Australia. I'll spare my skin the potential damage and discontinue use. I recommend this product only to those who know that their skin tolerates salicylic acid well.
