On my hunt to find "the perfect nude" I was given this lipstick at first I liked it even though it was a tad lighter than I would want but the perfume Estee Lauder uses in their lipsticks is entirely over powering for me to the point of sickness. If you can handle the smell that lingers after you put it on then it goes on smooth and pigmented. I owned a few other lipstick by this brand and they all have the same strong perfume taste and smell. I used to own apricot, black cherry and mocha.
Wow. Instant love. A soft, fleshy pink that is perfect for my NC40 skin tone. It's really tough for me to find great shades for my skin tone and this is perfect. I guess the "tea" in the name is the fact that it is a brown-tone and the rose the pink part. This is does not show up as having any peach on my lips, unlike the other posters did. Imo this is what makes it special!
$25.00 is pretty steep for lipstick, however according to the website it indicates that the lipstick is "enriched with lip-loving ingredients, including apricot kernel, shea butter and murumuru butter that leave lips soft and creamy smooth". I can't vouch for the "long lasting" aspect of this product. It does get a little bit drying so I wear a balm underneath it and a little gloss on top. This is a yay for be none the less.
I absolutely love this color. On me, it looks mauvey/plummy rose with a little brown mixed in. This is one of those shades that is probably universally flattering. I can put this on at 7:30 a.m., drink coffee and have a snack and I don't need to reapply until 10:00 a.m. or so. This is a great office appropriate neutral that isn't boring. Even though it's pricey, I would definitely repurchase.

I am normally just a lipgloss girl, but for some reason I pulled this lipstick that I had received during GQP out of the drawer recently. Since then, I have been wearing this almost every day with just a little gloss on top for shimmer. Nice consistency. Average wear time. Great soft neutral pink. Will definitely repurchase.

So I was looking for an alternative nude lippie from my usual Clinique Nude Beach, and I found one! Would have thought "Tea Rose" would make more sense, but whatevs. Anyway I really do like it, the color is not as bright as shown when you test on your hand but that's a good thing IMO. Perfect for work, for my NW20 face. I find it creamy, and good pigment to the color. A bit of peach and pink in it. I'm also a fan of their Hot Kiss color, kind of a browny-cinnamon reddish shade. Great if I feel like red is too much for daytime.
It's a neutral rose mauve shade that looks very good on asian skin tone. a little bit deep in the tube but look so nice on lips. very moisturing and smell okay to me because I know estee lauder's lipsticks used to smell worse. by the way, I stole this from my mom and it is the color that when you put on look gorgeous and a little matural. would buy again if I need a lipstick for work.

A very versatile neutral shade, a medium neutral brown with a hint of pink. Its like a natural lip shade, only darker. I've always liked the consistency of EL lipsticks. This goes smooth like a lip balm, but its got a gorgeous color that doesn't dry out my lips as quickly as other lipsticks. A little pricey, but the product is great.
I'm feeling pretty neutral about this lip colour. I have medium-fair Asian skin tone and it did look good on me but not my favourite of this line. It gave my complexion a little brightening up. As for long lasting, it did alright, up until you had to eat. After that it pretty much disappeared which I wasn't too surprised about. If you didn't eat, the fading was minimal and bleeding wasn't a problem without lip liner. I apply it with a lip brush and the colour was smooth and easy to apply. Overall, it is a nice brown red colour but not one I would reach for again.
First of all I can't understand Blooiejagwa giving this four lippies when she absolutely hated this lipstick. I hate it too, it tastes horrible, feels horrible, looks horrible. I have about five of these hanging around that I got in various GWPs and Christmas blockbuster sets. I tried, and tried, to like it but it just does nothing except look and feel horrible. I hate the smell of EL lipsticks anyway, they get worse with age. I am keeping them just because it feels bad to throw them out. Rimmel lipsticks are far better then these. I hate being negative about an expensive brand, but what can you do!!
Colour: soft pale rose. Dupeable for sure (hence i wouldn't rebuy)
.
Feel: soft, creamy, thick. You can definitely feel the lipstick on you, it's not weightless or sheer. If you are not used to lipsticks this might be annoying, i don't mind it. It is actually drying on me despite the creamy, moisturizing feeling... 'creates' lines in the lips, i don't know how to describe it but it looks bad.
.
Wear: doesn't last long (ie about the same longevity as ds lipsticks like rimmel)
.
Packaging: i hate this! I have the one from the summer bronze set, or whatever it's called, with hilary rhoda in red lips and navy suit modeling the line... All the lipsticks in the set, this included, are put in flimsy packaging, the lipstick part literally falls out of the tube thing and u have to put it back in, and it wobbles and doesn't wind up properly.
Overall: mediocre, have seen plenty of shades like this in cheaper drugstore lines, it's not special--very useful to have, though. One lippie off for the horrid packaging and lack of longevity.
