This product is terrible. I found it to be entirely ineffective. My skin was not rendered smoother or fresher. It does not exfoliate at all, it does not brighten, it does not detoxify. It is not gentle enough to use daily, contrary to its name. It stings the skin. It causes breakouts. It is heavily fragranced, and to boot, the strong scent smells awful and synthetic. I even tried it as a body scrub, but it did not apart from causing me to have dry skin. Not worth even trying, in my opinion.

I was surprised at the poor quality of this product, as I have liked every other Aveeno product I have tried. I actually really like their daily face scrub in the green tube.

With very dry skin in the winter (Canadian!) and oily skin in summer, I find this product to cleanse very nicely and gently. Though it has SLS in it, it doesn't lather, but has a gel-like consistency with gentle beads that don't scratch.

The only con I have with this is the smell. It is very strong, with a musky floral scent.

I bought this on a whim. I use it once a day combined with my Cetaphil to remove my makeup and the dead skin of the day. I noticed my skin brightening when first began using it but it has plateaued since. It leaves my face very soft and has not broken me out. It smells really nice and like that there are no harsh ingredients. I will probably purchase again if I don't find something else like it.

Great daily cleansing scrub that is not too harsh, just enough to gently slough off dead skin. Has quite a strong fragrance though. This is supposed to contain a skin brightener, but I have not noticed any brightening effect from using this. It removes all my makeup and does not leave my combination skin feeling dry and tight.

Great scurb, very gentle but effective. Makes my skin super soft afterwards. Aveeno products work amazingly on my stubborn skin. Havent found anything for my annoying blackheads tho!

I received a sample of this as well. The first time I used it I could feel a difference in my skin. I have sensitive skin and can't take harsh scrubs. I am always looking for scrub that would be effective yet not irritate and I found in this product. I have never had any luck with Aveeno products before, but this one is a winner for me. I am halfway through a full size tube and will certainly purchase it again. For me it is a great value around $7, and there are always coupons around for Aveeno. I have found that for me, a little goes a long way. I normally use it every morning and only a little more than a pea size amount is enough.

This scrub is pretty useless IMO. I received a generous sample tube in my free Target summer beauty bag and I love scrubs that aren't too harsh so I was excited to try it out but I was absolutely unimpressed. The beads are pretty much nonexistent and while I understand it's supposed to be gentle, effective would be nice too. The smell and texture do not redeem this scrub either. Imho save your money!

I got this as a sample as well. The packaging is average is good.
The actual product- I kind of actually like the smell. It's a strange refreshing clean, if that makes any sense.
For the product you really don't need that much. Pea sized of what the other review said is correct. I've used this sample for about a week and a half now and still have lots of time to go. A bottle would last forever! (For reference the sample size is 1 oz. ) So I can definitely see this being a good buy.
The little beads in it are really nice. You can feel it working and feel fresh after. My face is a little tight but thats how I like it because my skin will oil it down within a couple minutes.
Now why the kind of low rating- Since using this I have broken out in a bunch of really tiny acne bumps. No head or anything, just bumps. I can't guarantee that this is where it is from but I believe it might be. I'll finish up the sample and see if anything changes.
If it turns out that this isn't causing my acne and that its just natural, then this could be on my potential rebuy list!

Edit: I really like this stuff. It is not infact, causing my acne. It actually seems to help clear up with time! My skin is really soft and I've been working on the sample for over a month now. I'll be rebuying when I get through all my other products.

I got this free to try in my Target beauty bag and really had no expectations. What a pleasant surprise! I only need a tiny amount (less than a pea) and I exfoliate my face and neck with it in the shower. Since you need so little it was a pretty generous sample and I have had a lot of opportunity to try it. It is wonderful! My face is so soft and feels clean after I use it. The beads are tiny so it never feels rough and scratchy unlike some other products I have tried and ended up using for my feet instead of my face. I will purchase this. Be aware that the package looks a lot like another Aveeno scrub. I actually reviewed the wrong one first.

I got a sample of this in a Target beauty bag and although I don't quite understand what it is... a detoxifying scrub that claims on the label to be soap free... I know that it burned my face like crazy in the shower! I'm not sure what they replaced the "soap" with, but it doesn't work for me! I will not purchase this and I will be tossing the rest of my sample.
