This is a great rich red lipstick for my C30 skintone. Very opaque and smooth, glides on like a dream unlike MAC's Russian Red which was what I was originally going to purchase. Very pigmented, very cheap (Watsons had a 25% off sale), and moisturising. The only con is the tacky packaging, I hope I don't drop it because of the cheap plastic casing.
Sorry, but, I agree with another reviewer, that it is more of an intense fuschia, NOT a red. And, it came out extremely bright on me. I had done a search online for blue based reds, & this & Revlon's "Really Red" were listed as cheaper ones to try. Neither of these came out blue based red on me. I want a true cherry red. A true blue based red!
I absolutely LOVE this red lipstick! I have cool porcelain skin and this is a blue based red, that is just perfect! I was searching for a matte red that worked with my skin tone, wasn't dark, made my teeth look whiter and wasn't for yellow undertones. I bought the Refined Reds 3 piece set with the lipstick, lipliner and clear gloss for about $5. It doesn't get any better! I get complimented all the time!
I want to love this lipstick but for now I only like it. The color is great. Red, but not bright in your face red, its a darker red, more like a blood red with no brown. No orangey or pink tones either, and it doesnt go fushia. Very close to my current fav. NYX "snow white" but redder. Im thinking I actually like this color more than my "snow white" because "snow white" can be to dark if applied to heavy. However my issue with Red Revival is the lasting power and finish. I like fix it and forget it makeup. I can apply "snow white" in the am with a lipbush and it sets to matte and lasts all day on me even if at times it can be a bit dry. Red Revival is very creamy, almost messy as some have mentioned and it stays "moist". I have to apply and blot three times in the am and perfect it with a lipbrush to get any lasting power.I have to apply to bare lips because if I prep with foundation or powder first it feels to thick. I should probably try it with lip liner but thats one more step and one more product and I'm trying to streamline my makeup routine. Touch ups are a must with Red Revival, especially after a meal, but at least it fades evenly and doesn't completely disappear. Ill give this a go because I do love the color, maybe ill get used to the feel. Its not expensive and it can be found most anywhere. *Sigh* still looking for my HG cheap red lipstick
I have been looking for a red lipstick but I did not want to spend the money for an expensive one since I feel like red is such a seasonal color. I also feel like you have to be going for a specific look to wear a red shade of lipstick. I'm a 6.0 in MAC matchmaster and I absolutely love this color on me. It's bright but settle.
This definitely needs a lipliner and a lipbrush so you can get a precise application. The price is really good and I can't complain. The only downside of this is that it comes off easily. Once you start eating or drinking it just comes right off. I would suggest to line your whole lips with the red maybelline lipliner otherwise all the color of the lipstick will be gone and you are left with just the lipliner.

Maybelline Red Revival...what can I say about this lip color? Perfection! I am a dark ebony brown complexion so it was really difficult to find a red lip color I will feel comfortable wearing. I have never worn a red lipstick in my life and was always against a dark colored woman even attempting to wear red lipstick. Well I researched and found Maybelline Red Revival and fell in love with it. It is a blue based red and it is so beautiful. It is dramatic but not overly dramatic. If you are going to wear this color be sure to go natural on your eye lids....if you are going to wear an eyeshadow make sure it is a neutral color as this red lipstick makes your face pop so you don't need anything else drawing more attention. Be sure to wear a red color blush too! Love it, the quality is great and creamy and I will always repurchase. PS. Make sure you also apply the Maybelline Red Lipliner (No. 50) which will define your red lip even more.

I don't wear lipstick very often, so buying expensive brands would just be silly. This one goes on sale for really cheap.
This is the only red lipstick I own because it's extremely difficult to find a red that works with my pale skin. Red Revival is more of an intense fuchsia than a true red.
I line my lips with Maybelline lip liner pencil #50 Red and blot with a tissue after each application of lipstick.
I wore this to a wedding with 1940s-style hair and got tons of compliments. However, I had to touch up the colour several times through the night.
In summary, this isn't the best lipstick formula ever but it's a great budget option for women with pale/cool skin tones.

I paid about seven dollars for this, which is in the medium price range for drugstore products. Color is very pigmented, and very red. Has somewhat of a glossy finish and does not dry out my lips. Staying power is...minimal. It slips and slides quite easily, but I find that lipliner gives it more longivity. NOTE: it WILL come off when you're eating/drinking and will make a MESS.
Pretty, pigmented blue-red. Slightly bluer than my usual go-to bright red, NYC Retro Red (dupe of MAC Russian Red). I feel like this makes Retro Red more flattering on me. I'm fair and cool but have slight yellow undertones, and the blue-red of Red Revival is just a little off and garish on me.
The texture is very pleasant and more moisturizing than either Retro Red or my other red, Revlon Blackberry, but the finish is still satiny and not glossy. Feels nice to wear. Longevity is okay, although I haven't really put it to the test -- it does stay put in the short term.
