I picked this up on a whim the other day at walmart for $8. it literally makes my face look airbrushed! I have never had a foundation that looked so beautiful and natural on my skin. no sticking to dry patches, no total oil slick t zone half way through the day. covers all my redness. I can build it up on my red ares like my cheeks and chin without looking like a caked mess. it lasts my whole work day. I do still get shiny on my nose, but not to the point where it looks bad or like I feel like I should touch up. really impressed with this one.

I just revisited this foundation after years of not using it. I purchased a bottle in Natural Ivory Light 3. I recalled enjoying the pump but when I 1st tried it I don't recall the pump locking. Now it does! The shade was too beigey for me & my neck looked poorly blended even though I had spent a decent amount of time going at it w/an E.L.F Studio Powder Brush. I tried putting a little water on my hands & rubbing it on my neck to redistribute it but it still looked bad. I exchanged the Natural Ivory for Porcelain Ivory Light 1. I love it. It's a seamless match for face & neck & doesn't oxidize. It's very similar to my top dog Rimmel Lasting Finish in Classic Ivory & Cover Girl Creamy Natural in Outlast 3-in-1 & Clean/Clean Oil Controlling. Those products don't oxidize & provide good coverage. The Dream Liquid has the sheerest coverage under my eyes no matter what I use to place it there. Rimmel's coverage is excellent. But I use concealers & it's ok. I like Maybelline's price of $6-8, too. I think I'll wash & reuse the pump whenever this bottle is gone. Lasting power on my oily skin is really good. In the week or so I've used it we've experienced high 80s through mid 50s. This foundation didn't budge after being set w/Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Translucent powder & placing Hard Candy Sheer Envy mattifying primer under it. That's the one in the baby blue tube. The pump dispenses product in very small dots. I felt as though I was using a lot of it & wonder how long the bottle will last. It has no SPF but I can mix it w/Rimmel BB Cream in Light for additional coverage plus SPF or Hawaiian Tropic Moisturizing Face Lotion. Speaking of coverage, the Dream Liquid provides a strong medium coverage w/full coverage if another layer is added. I tend to do one full face layer w/all foundations then add one more to the center of my face where my freckles are most apparent & ruddiness comes into play. Dream Matte is no different. It plays well w/the aforementioned products. It hasn't oxidized. I'm happy to have found a shade match b/c Maybelline is such a tricky brand to match for me. They need to expand their line to include folks who are darker & fairer than me.

While I love the finish and weight of this, I have to mix it with a lighter foundation like my Fit Me! Foundation or my Revlon colorstay foundation, that is why it doesn't have 5 stars. I like that it has a pump as it is easy to use and less messy than the foundations without pumps, also easier to get a small amount. The first time I used it, I noticed that it gave a nice, sheer coverage which is perfect for skin that doesn't need much coverage, like my skin on most days although I do have days when I need a little more coverage.I didn't have any problems with breaking out and I honestly would repurchase it, mainly because of the natural finish and easy blending.

I bought this because I have an addiction to trying new foundations. I think it does a great job: it offers light to medium coverage; it doesn't make my T-zone terribly shiny; it also doesn't highlight my dry patches; and it doesn't settle into fine lines. I apply it with a foundation brush and get nice coverage. That said, I didn't feel like it was amazing. It's a good foundation at a great price, and I'm using it now while I decide what my next foundation purchase will be.

Im am extremely picky with foundations and this has become my new favorite. I randomly bought it on a whim not expecting much and i love it. I have pretty dry and splotchy skin and this looks so natural on me. Ive gotten so many compliments on my skin since i started wearing this. It looks like im not even wearing makeup and just have naturally perfect skin. I also really like the packaging.

I think I'm gonna use this from now on. Love the application and coverage. I wear classic ivory and it's literally a perfect match. My trick is that i keep those tiny Dixie cups by my sink and flip one over (usually the one I just drank out of) and use the outside bottom of the cup as my pallet while mixing and dabbing my foundation brush to load it prior to application. Works like a charm - then I throw the cup away and wash the brush. Easy peasy lemon-squeezie!

I am giving this foundation two stars due to the fact that I could not find a light enough colour, it settled into lines and broke me out . On the flip side , it does have a rather nice finish :)

I am shocked that this foundation has not achieved a really high rating. I find it one of the best foundations I have every used. Firstly, it is best for normal to oily skin. If you have dry skin then don't use it, it's not for you. Secondly, it has a natural sheer finish, it is not a high coverage make up. Look elsewhere if that is what you want. That being said, if you want a beautiful sheer matte lit from within look for your normal to oily complexion, this is the one. It is friggin' cheap, too. It does not collect in my pores at all unlike some other sheer foundations (such as MAC Matchmaster). I have very pink/ivory skin. My shade is Light 3 Natural Ivory. It's like they liquidated my skin and bottled it, it is such a good match. After I pounce this on with a Beauty Blender type sponge (I use a drug store dupe), I use an Elizabeth Arden concealer in 1 Ivory, mixed with a touch of Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant all over the eye lid and under eyes. Then I pat the Dream Lumi on my cheek bones. I finish with Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Loose Powder in 22 Rose Clair (another perfect match for my pinkish skin). Voila, good to go all day with a couple of touch ups, which I don't mind doing. This is my HG every day foundation. For special events where I need to get really glammed up, I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid which has much more coverage.

I give this a perfect score simply because the pigmentation is perfect. I got mine in shade M1 (sandy beige) and it blends perfectly on my skin with or without a primer. I use this on a daily basis focusing on my problem areas (T-zone). I like to maintain a natural look so I only use a single pump on the product. The packaging is great and the price is affordable considering my entire bottle could last a whole year. This has not caused my skin to break out. I simply love this!Update: I realized the shade I got was intended for cool skin tone since the product looks more reddish than it is yellowish. Maybelline comes up with different shade spectrum on almost every foundation and powder that they release. I am comfortable wearing sandy shades but this one was a cool tone version. It still does look good on me although next time I would definitely purchase another shade (warm tone)!
