I used to love this scent back in college circa 1995. My best friend at the time gave me a bottle of this. I loved the frosted bottle and the contents were a mix of rich heady florals. Even better, a guy I liked told me that I "stinked nice" (kind of a back-handed comment, I know). Well, fast forward, the guy turned out to be a womanizing jerk (he had a girlfriend) and I fell out of love with the scent. I tried it again a few years back, but it brought back too many painful memories, so off to Salvation Army it went. I don't think I could ever wear this scent again. Maybe I'll try again in say, 50 years.
UPDATE: Changed my mind and I'm upping this to 4 lippies. Now that I've been wearing it more often, I like it better. Yes, it's still a polite scent. But I don't consider it blah anymore. It's actually very nice and comforting. Very pleasant scent. Still a 'no repurchase,' but only because the bottle will last me forever as I have so many other scents.
I got a bottle of this (in the white box) for Christmas. I completely agree with Wend1. This is a polite, well-behaved fragrance. And because of that, while it's a pleasant scent, it's a bit blah and certainly not something I would buy, given the choice. I like my scents with more character, more oomph, even if they are not very "polite."
However, since it was a present, I'm not displeased with it. You don't look into the mouth of a gift horse, and all that. I'll save it for wearing around the house, or for non-special occasions. Or for those inevitable reunions in which I know I'll bump into the hot-house flower type of people. You know who I mean. Those annoying types who pretend they turn instantly cyanotic the moment you walk into a room wearing anything stronger than baby cologne.

Very light pleasant smelling floral with some fruit and green notes. Some soapiness as well. Although this fragrance is light, has some good sillage. If you're looking for a nice floral that's non-offensive, then give Lalique a try. Very pretty.

Oh wow.. can i say generic? I dunno.. it just seems like it's not fit for me :( I wasn't too excited to spray it on and I wasn't too excited after i sprayed it on.
Common floral and mature.
The staying power is pretty good.
Top notes: gardenia, blackberry, mandarin, peony, magnolia Mid: rose, ylang ylang, orange blossom peony, magnolia Base:sandalwood, cedar, oakmoss, Vanilla, musk, amber Cedarwood
Reminds me of L'Instant a bit, but brighter and with more bite. It's very nice, but not terribly special. I like it and will probably keep it for the name-sake, but I will not repurchase.

This is a very polite, well-behaved floral. It is pretty and will never offend. It is also quite forgettable.

Im writing a review of Lalique by lalique , the 3.4 oz EDT which comes in the WHITE box.. this is the new version.. Its a very light floral perfume, pleasant , yet not very cloyingly sweet. The most obvious notes for me seemed to be a hint of sandalwood blended with lavendar...
It reminds me a lot of Organza and also the lovely old fashioned yardley talcs my mother uses.
I would say this is a sophisticated perfume, definitely pleasant as it dries, very subtle chic
