I went to my local Bath and Body Works and bought this lotion because I love the scent! I <3 raspberries, especially tea. Few weeks ago, they had some soaps on sale with this scent so I bought them and I couldn't stop washing my hands because it smelled so good! i am a huge fan of bath & body works. yet, over the years their scents started to monopolize into something very unoriginal. many of their scents smell very similar to each other, especially the floral ones. & nothing really stands out. sun ripened raspberry represents b&bw when they were at their greatest. this scent is fresh & clean & sweet. i'm not a huge fan of fruity smells, cause honestly..who wants to walk around smelling like an orange? but this one is all an around winner(: continued >>

This is my all time favorite scent from Bath and Body Works. It is fresh smelling. It smells like raspberries on the vine. I smell the raspberries and the green scent of the vines. It is not overly sweet or fruity. I agree, it is simple and maybe that is why the low reviews. However, I find this to be a wonderful scent for the summer. I am glad to see that it is available online once again at their website. I will definitely have to stock up on it in case they decide to discontinue it once again...

The smell is very plain and smells kind of soapy.

Gets me every time. When people say this is too "one note" I get what they mean, but I love it nonetheless. In fact, the sweet simplicity of this fragrance is probably what I love about it. It smells like real raspberries. Not raspberry candy. Not raspberry jelly. Real raspberries like the ones that grow on a bush that get picked and put in cute woven baskets (: It's not super sweet--tart and crisp if anything--and just so PURE. I love it. It's very fresh and doesn't become overly strong as long as you don't COVER yourself in the stuff. I can layer the lotion and the splash and still be fragrant-ly safe :D It's marketed as a summer scent, but I can wear it year round and not come off as weird. Very different from Black Raspberry Vanilla, which canNOT be worn during the warmner months no matter what.
All in all, this fragrance is great because it's fresh, simple, non offensive, versatile, and PURE. I don't care what y'all say about "it's a one note scent" or "it reminds me of middle school gym" or "it's too young and immature" It's great and don't you forget it!

Ah, my first BBW scent. I girl used it in the shower one day in our dorm and the whole bathroom smelled great. She left it in there after she got out and I had to lean in and figure out what it was.
Then I went out and bought a bottle as fast as I possibly could.

Oh my god, the smell. This takes me back to middle school. B&BW was the place to buy lotion and the girls would always borrow each other's travel size lotions after gym. Unfortunately this was a very popular scent around this time. I have always hated the smell of it though. continued >>

I got this for my mother recently since it reminds me of my childhood. I really love this scent, although I'm not sure how much of it is because of nostalgia... I remember when I was around 10, my mom had a small bottle of antibacterial hand lotion on her table and that smell always takes me back. It's a very sweet and light scent that makes me happy. I guess that's all that's really important.

I bought this online to try because I love raspberry scents, and I was pretty excited about it but when it finally came in the mail and I took a whiff from the bottle, I almost immediately put it up for sale.

I really wish they would stop selling this scent. I always recognize it on somebody because it smells overpowering and almost makes me feel nauseous. It smells like alcohol and some kind of cheap fruity odor. I know a lot of people like this scent but I have no idea why.

I am SO over this scent. When I smell this it makes me ill. It is just old.

This is the absolute worst scent from bath and body works ever, the next one being Cucumber Melon. Yuck, it smell horrible, cheap with a strong amount of alcohol. Do not buy this scent is horribly over-rated.

I love BBW, they always have some sort of sale going on. I have been using this lotion since back in high school, maybe 5-6 years now. I read the reviews and I'm really surprised people don't like this fragrance. I think many MUA'rs are trying new things so "out with the old" must be there saying. I might be stuck in a "rut"
The smell is very clean and light. I tend to get headaches with overpowering smells, but not with this lotion. I tend to layer it with the hand sanitizer and the smell lingers for quite some time. I would definately repurchase:P I don't find that any of these lotions moisturize, I normally just get them for the fragrance or to give as gifts.

I like this scent. Its a very sweet/tart rasberry fragrance, and I can see how some may find it too sweet and cloying. The lotion is almost as potent as a perfume, the scent lingers forever.

I like the smell. Very yummy.

I really like the smell of this lotion and the fact that it lingers for a long time. I bought mine years ago when I was last in the States and am glad they still make it :)

Definitely not a staple, but I picked this up on a whim with the buy 2 get 1 free deal. It's a sweet sugary raspberry scent that is nice for spring and summer. I layer it with Raspberry Fantasy body spray and it lasts ok. I can only wear this when I'm feeling sweet and juvenille. I wouldn't buy it again
