One of my preferred lippies when I'm craving a more dramatic mouth and wearing subtle eyes. Velvet teen is a deep sultry berry that is incredibly rich in color. It's dramatic, but not loud. It's a cream formula, so it applies with very rich pigment, as is a smidge on the try side, so this is one that's better topped with gloss. A very unique and pretty shade.

This is my least favorite lipstick, yet for some reason I won't get rid of it. I don't own another lipstick in this shade, so every now and then I'll play with my liners and wear this color out the house. I want so badly to fall in love with this color but in 2 years it hasn't happened yet.

This is one of my best lip colours! I applied Velvet Teen sheer, and it did a fabulous job of softly defining my lips and making it look lush and plump. ;)

This is a nice colour. I wouldn't describe it as having much pink in it though. More of a burgandy brown colour.

The colour is fantastic. It's the exact colour you would picture of lush deep wine velvet. It's super smooth and has great long wear. I am definately happy that it's part of the MAC collection!
