When the sh*t hits the fan and angry, bumpy acne is all around me, this is my go-to. Within three to five days of consistent nightly slathering, my skin will be desert dry but no. more. pimples.
I wish I could rely on solely this, but my skin's a little more difficult and tenacious, so I'm currently on new regime of prescription .1% differin at night and trimethoprim for the next few months. I use this any morning that I don't have plans to be somewhere before lunch, because it can't hurt; in fact BP has proven benefits for acne. Love the formulation too, its just such a Great product. 2.5 and 5% BP gels that I can get over here (ireland) break me out in an immediate, burning allergic itchy rash. I know its not the bp, so its whatever it is commonly cut with. I've a lot of respect for the C&C brand, their acne-treatment products are well formulated and cheap, unlike the clinique and proactive lines. I found this in the States on a trip. I fell in love, and order now off amazon. I'll never be without it.
This is a great before bed treatment for pimples. I feel like sometimes the squeeze tube is hard to control. But it's ok because the product is basically sent from the heavens. Works so well on stubborn blemishes.
This is by far the best acne stuff I have ever used. I have tried high- end and prescription but keep coming back to this. It can be a little drying so it is best used for spot treatment.
Since middle school, I've never really had perfectly clear skin... well maybe for a day or two but i always have pimples somewhere on my face (frustratin!!)
I tried alot of things im the drugstore and being a poor teen, i don't reach out to high end products. Everything I tried didn't work because i was only trying salicylic acid!! That stuff stings, but it doesnt do much for my pimples.. which btw are very very stubborn.
So I decided to try this BP persagel and i am NEVER turning back!!!
This really works and no, it doesn't give instant results, but it definetly and consistently treats my acne.
I find it works best when i pat in my light moisturiser (at night and only at night i do this routine) and let it sink in. I then spot treat my pimples with the BP and let it dry.
Then I'll apply another layer. Then i moisturise the rest of my face avoiding the spots with a heavier moisturiser.
This routine really works on my spots.
I still get acne because im a horomonal teen, but this product really effectively treats the spots so they don't leave a pit scar :)
I really recommend this, it can dry out your skin. Just make sure to keep your skin moisturized when you're not using this product.
Good luck to everyone with troublesome skin!
You're all beautiful so keep smiling!
It CAN be controlled!
Perfect for on the go... Don't dab too much as it can leave a white cast on your face. However, it's effective and cheap so it is a wonderful product to have in the makeup bag.
This product is strong! This does help pimples reduce in size if applied overnight. You can apply in morning but be sure to apply only a thin layer, as it will be a visible white color if too thick of a layer. After my pimple nearly disappears I follow up with a dark spot cream on that area. I use a very small amount of the cream all over my face that tends to breakout at night time...again do not apply a lot to sensitive areas of your face.
* i have never tried this specific product, but a similar BP-product *
DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF BENZOL PERIOXIDE, IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN!
IT WILL RUIN YOUR FACE!
About my skin: Combinated, dry cheeks, acneprone on the forhead and chin, sensitive.
- Before I started using benzol perioxid, my skin was breaking out so badly. Almost cystic acne, just only on smaller areas of the face.
I took photos of my bare face everyday for 3 weeks of using the product. Used only the one with 5 % and only once a day at night time.
I have to say that I was REALLY IMPRESSED! Within 2 weeks, ALL of my acne was gone. I was only left with scars.
I was so happy, but then this HORRIBLE SKIN NIGHTMARE started to happend. I might sound like I'm overreacting, but honestly. You should've seen my face and felt the pain it was in. I got an ALLERGIC REACTION, that caused horrible big PAINFUL red marks all over my face. And my skin was all FLAKY.
For 2 whole weeks I could'nt touch my face, I couldn't cleanse it, I couldn't wear makeup, I tried lots of moistruzing creams to calm down my skin but nothing helped. I went to the doctor and he have some pills, but they didn't helped either. I just had to wait till the horrible reaction was over. And guess what. My skin broke out again, yay. :-(
Was an On the Spot user until I read that the base lotion wasn't so great for oily skin. It usually cleared stuff up quickly for me, but was very drying. The Persa-gel clears stuff up without having rawness associated with dried out skin. I'm combatting isolated zits from that time of the month or whatever, as opposed to acne across a large area. Price is cheap for the tube. I don't use it every day, so a tube probably lasts about a year or however long it takes til expiry. All the same, I try to be sure to have a tube on hand, so will always repurchase as long as I break out. General description: white lotion without a strong odor; probably sinks in a bit better than On the Spot. Plastic tube is hygienic and of decent size. I'm a convert.
I bought this product years ago after reading the MUA reviews. It's a so-so acne treatment, which is probably why I had forgotten to review it. I have normal/combo skin and usually get 1-2 breakouts a month. But the scars heal extremely slowly, and the redness lingers for many days or even months. This treatment is good for reducing the swelling and redness, but it leaves behind a white, peeling residue. While it's not the worst acne product, there are certainly better ones out there.
I had high expectations for this product, which I planned to use as a spot treatment. But the weird thing is, it didn't do anything. It didn't get rid of my pimples like I hoped, and at the same time, it also didn't cause the horrible reaction that I was worried that it might (I have somewhat sensitive skin). It just...didn't do anything at all.
