overall, i think this product is ok.first of all, i feel like this is a bit of a dupe of MAC's paint pots, but doesn't apply anywhere near as evenly and needs to be built up in order to get a really vibrant colour. it also doesn't last as long, but still has ok staying power. however, it's less than half the price of a paint pot so it's pretty good for what you pay!i'm fairly fair skinned (MAC N1) and i got this shade under the impression that it was a nice nude shimmery colour, but it's veeeery gold on pale skin. overall though, it's a pretty colour that applies ok, can be very vibrant, and lasts for a while. i'm just not sure if it's worth the hype!pros:- pretty colour (but appears super gold on pale skin)- lasts a while (but definitely not to 'tattoo' lengths)- good value for moneycons:- doesn't apply very evenly - weak colour unless you build it up

I really, really like this product. While making a great base for eye shadows, I've worn it straight up by itself over a plain primer and it not only lasted all day, it looked just as good at the start of the day as at the finish. Very buildable too. My only tiny little beef with it is that it's a bit difficult to apply. Fingers work best with it, but if you want to be precise it's sort of challenging. The pros far out weigh that tiny con though, it's lovely. I need more shades.

This is a nice everyday light champagne gold neutral. It has a nice creamy texture and its smooth in application. It's not that metallic its more of a beautiful sheen. I like using my fingers to apply it. It has a sheer application but I put 2 layers on to build it up. It's a perfect base for a neutral eye or if you want a gold or champagne powder eye shadow to pop more. Its very long lasting for my oily eyelids. It lasts 10-12 hours depending on what eye shadows I use on before it creases. After 10 hours I don't see any fading. It can also be worn alone. When I'm out of this I will rebuy it. If your a fan of champagne eye shadows and bases I would highly recommend this.

Pretty but basic champagne gold cream eyeshadow. Really nice staying power -- after drying, it doesn't budge. But the color itself is nothing special. It's a dupe for lots of other shades that you probably already own.$6 for 4 grams of product in a heavy glass pot at CVS.

Love the colour! It's perfect for when I want to do really subtle natural makeup. I also like to use it as a highlighter under my brows! Works really well!

I bought this because I read it worked well as an eyeshadow base on other reviews. that ended up not being the c as e, it made my shadow stay better than with no primer, but not nearly as well as with primer. however, this is not a base, but a shadow so I can't hold that against it. the color is beautiful and looks great and subtle on its own. I just apply it with my finger all over the lid and blend upwards towards my brow. I can say the staying power of the actual shadow is good, because even though the shadow I applied over it was wearing ofd, you could see the champagne shimmer underneath still. i wouldn't say it woukd last 24 hours, but it got me through an 8 hour work day no problem and was on for hours after I came home. did not notice any creasing either. I didn't intend to buy this as shadow, but it's a decent product so I'm not upset about it.

I picked this shade up to compliment "Bad to the Bronze" and couldn't be happier. It is a nice pale pearl/champagne cream shade and is really nice directly under the brows or along the inner corners of your eyes. I have oily hooded lids so even though this is long wearing, I wouldn't dream of applying this without first using Wet'n'Wild eye primer. This way the cream shadow doesn't crease or wear off at all. It does come off easily with eye makeup remover but stays put even when swimming (if that's something you are concerned about)! I can't imagine ever running out of this - they give you so much product in the little pot, so will probably not have to repurchase but if I did run out or lose it, I would buy this again.

I'm extremely pale (15 in MUFE) and neutral-cool toned so I like to stay away from golds most of the time. I got this as an impulse buy at walmart after seeing the allure sticker on the display. I love the way this looks! I feel like it would work on most skintones/ eye colors for a very subtle and natural eye look. I would pair this with a slightly darker skintone shade in the crease for some depth. (UD naked2 from the naked basics for me) Anyway, back to the review. The color is very subtle and sheer on the lids but can be built up. I wore this on a beach vacation with a waterproof mascara (the rocket from maybelline, worked great too!) and it lasted through 90 degree days in the outer banks in NC. I have dry skin but oily eyelids in the summertime and this still lasted pretty well after about 8 hours on me. I didn't use a base and I applied a light layer with my fingertips. I found it worked better with fingers than when applied with a brush. I still noticed some fading on the days I wore it in the ocean but I think that's expected after being in the saltwater. ( I got my butt kicked by the ocean). The containers this came in are sturdy and can take a lot of beating, which is good because I'm clumsy. Its a heavy kind of glass container which is kind of bulky but like I said its good in my case. It's also clear on the top so if you have a bunch (like I do) you can tell which is which. Also, some people say these can dry out quickly. I personally haven't had that happen, but when it does there is a fairly simple solution. Put the dried out product in a cup of hot water for about 15 minutes. Voila. Like new.

Maybelline has my favorite cream eye shadows for two reasons:1) They're super fair priced as far as how much product you get and how it compares to other brands with $20 per color craziness.2) I love the color selection! (Barely Branded is my favorite)3) The packaging might not be super pretty (not saying it's ugly, it's just eh), but it's durable and super easy to travel with.I wouldn't say Color Tattoo shadows last 24 hours like the package claims, but you can get some pretty good wear, maybe like 8 hours in a hot/humid climate. Barely Branded is a very metallic champagne, kind of bronzey shade that goes on super smooth and is easy to blend with other shadows. A little goes a long way too! My personal favorite combo is using Creamy Beige (from the Leather collection) in the crease, followed by barely branded.

This is a sheer cream-pearl shade. It works well as an all-over sheer shimmery wash on the lids, or as a base for pretty much any color shadow. I like to layer Maybelline's "Champagne Fizz" shadow over this base as they have similar pearlescent formulas to them.Because this is so sheer and not a very pigmented or colorful product, I wouldn't repurchase because I don't reach for it often. This is a creamy formula...on it's own as a shadow it creases on my oily lids, but used as a base with a powder shadow over top, it stays pretty well.
