I have purchased and returned this product before in the past but recently I have been in such a rut trying to find a foundation that is actually light enough for me so I revisited this old friend. The coverage is beautiful, the color is plenty light (light 42), and the finish is amazing! The only issue with this product is that it never seems to set on my skin. I feel like I'm going to look in the mirror and it's going to be all over my hair and shirt and anything within a 5 mile radius. It's so bizarre! It's definitely something to find an EXCELLENT setting powder to go with but even at that point, it feels like when you put glitter over a thick layer of glue - it's not wet to the touch but will move is you press hard enough. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a beautiful foundation.
I tried this foundation for about a month.
I found the shades to be too yellow for my skin (I have peach undertones).
I have several bright red spots on my face from former blemishes. It didn't hide the redness with one layer, but once I added another everything was pretty much covered up. I was a little disappointed to see that my pores still showed, no matter what application technique I tried.
Another thing that bothered me was that it remained sticky after application. I had to apply tons of powder to set it.
It helped a little with oil control. On a bad day, I would have to blot about 2 hours after application. On a good day, it would last about 4 hours before I had to blot.
I did noticed that it became patchy on my nose and chin about 4 hours after I applied it.
All in all, it was a decent foundation, but I don't think it's worth $34.
I recently purchased while in the states (from Australia) and I love this product, I have a few acne marks and it covers them up perfectly without any concealer... I work from 7 till 5 and by the time I get home it still looks flawless...
price wise I think its pretty cheap - being from Australia cosmetics are pretty pricey...
purchased a couple bottles before I left the US - favourite foundation without doubt!
My favorite full coverage foundation. I have some serious red spots and acne on my face and this covers it up without concealer. I wish it was a little less expensive or had more product for the price, but it is awesome.
I bought this product after reading great reviews and watching tons of youtube videos on it. As cute as the foundation packaging was, I did not like this foundation!!!! Firstly, it was hard to work with, dried quickly and didn't blend well, making it look cakey. Secondly, after wearing it for one day(about 8 hours) it broke me out so bad, I'm talking huge cystic pimples, it was awful. Thankfully I was able to return it, because it was also really expensive. If you want a full coverage foundation, this might be good for you, but just be careful, if you have sensitive skin like myself, it might break you out!!!!
Really good coverage with this foundation! It would work so good that it would cover other people's circles and color inbalances but I have such dark circles under my eyes, I have to use a concealer. I dries very quickly and smells a little like paint but that's ok with me.
I've been playing around with this foundation recently, so I've only used it a couple times. Great coverage, it evens out my skin tone nicely BUT it loves to cling to and enhance the dry patches on my face *the cold dry winter weather where I am is causing some crazy havoc on my skin*. As well towards the end of the day I also noticed that it enhances lines I never knew I had! Not good! It doesn't appear to irritate my skin other wise, it doesn't take much to irritate and cause breakouts on me, and so far no issues with that, but I've only used it a couple times. I may have better luck in the summer time, as my face tends to get more oilier compared to dry. If you have more dry skin, especially in the winter, I'd say keep looking or at least use a REALLY good moisturizer before hand, but alas the hunt continues for me!
I was soo excited when I got this foundation! I ordered it online so when I got it in the mail I was super excited! :D the packaging is soo cute and just feels durable. I love that it has a pump. It is pretty full coverage. I have acne scarring so I definitely need a full coverage foundation. this foundations a little too thick and drying for my skin so I add moisturizer to it before I put it on my face (I also moisturize and prime before I put on foundation). adding moisturizer changes the color a little but it also seems to take away some of the coverage. as I already said, this foundation is thick and isn't always the best on dry skin or dry areas on the face. like if I start to get a pimple, I apply salicylic acid to it, and it dries the area out a bit. the foundation doesn't look good over that dry skin/area. i apply the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation with my hands and occasionally with a brush. but Kat Von D recommends applying it with a brush. this foundation oxidizes on my skin and turns into a darker more orange color. I find if I touch my face throughout the day it completely removes the product. and it is not very matte. well it doesn't stay matte all day. I would by this product again because of the coverage and packaging. but I'm going to look for a better foundation. -another thing I bought this foundation in August and it's now December and I have plenty of foundation left. I wear it pretty much everyday. I use a pump or half a pump a day. so it is worth the money for how much product you get!
Love this foundation, I have acne issues and this foundation covered then perfectly.
I really love this foundation. After reading all the reviews and watching reviews on youtube i decided to purchase this foundation in Medium 54. I tan regularly and for reference my shade in Dior is 30 or 31. I was pretty nervous that this colour wouldn't suit me because I couldn't try it on anywhere in Australia so I had to base my choice off the reviews, which is also why I am writing this review. For reference you can buy this in Aus off a website called tarazz which is somehow linked with Sephora and sends items from US (takes about 14-20 days to arrive). It was about $58 AUD which I thought wasn't too bad. You get a lot of use out of this foundation as you only need one tiny pump and it basically covers the entire face. I do use a powder over the top but only because I don't like any oil whatsoever showing. Despite what some people say it doesn't feel that heavy once it is on. It has a little bit of a weird smell to it but it goes away once its on. I also have pretty large pores but this foundation gives my skin a bit of an airbrushed look (I don't have any pimples or anything though). I have some pigmentation from freckles and uneven skin tone that already gets covered by spray tanning but this foundation hides all of that which is pretty cool.
Overall this is an awesome foundation, I definitely recommend it. As for other colour options, I can't really say but the Med 54 suits me really well. I would say once I'm tanned I have a similar skin colour to a tanned paris hilton/ Lauren conrad tanned etc. Hope this helps!
