All my life I've used cheap blow dryers (Vidal Sassoon) and though they worked okay they never did anything special for my hair. I recently decided to replace my nearly 10 y/o dryer with something else. I wasn't going to go for anything super expensive, I wanted something under $60. I happened to buy something on Hautelook recently and wanted free shipping so I decided to add another cheap product. I found this dryer for $20 (regularly priced at $60) so I decided to go for it and I am glad I did.
This dryer is nothing special as far as appearence... it's white with two black switches for heat and speed settings, and a cool shot button. It also comes with one attachment nozzel which is all I need. I have thick, straight hair that blowdries straight so I didn't need anyother special gadgets for it. This dryer is also the typical 1875W which is the same as my previous dryers so I didn't think it was going to do anything extra special for my hair.
Well, I noticed a HUGE difference the first time I tried it. I used it on the warm setting till my hair is completely dry, than I put it on the cool setting and also hold down the cool shot button at the same time which makes the air flow extra cold. This makes my hair look and feel like nothing else - so soft, straight, and shiny. I was beyond impressed with it. I am so glad I made this purchase because it cost the same as any other cheap dryer but works sooo much better.
The only problems I have with it is that the setting switches are right on the inside of the handle, so if you grip it like normal you may end up changing the settings or turning off the dryer entirely. It has to be held differently so your fingers don't grip the handle all the way around. Also, the cord is extra thick so it's hard to straighten it out and the dryer can become unplugged easily. Other than that this dryer is awesome and I would definitely repurchase at this price.
Oh, and best of all is that since I started using this dryer I have noticed that my hair experiences a lot less damage and split ends.
