This acne treatment gel has officially achieved holy grail status for me. I had about 3 red, ugly, painful blemishes on my face two days ago. I use Refissa (tretinoin), AHA, and BHA acids on my face a few times a week, and this past week these products brought to the surface the most painful pimples on the planet. I purchased the CVS acne treatment gel after reading stellar reviews. Let me tell you, after 1 day, the pimples have completely diminished. Within hours, they became smaller and no longer painful. 2 of the pimples are completely gone, and the third is about 50% smaller and no longer inflamed. I now swear by this gel...I have never seen such dramatic results in such short time. This gel does dry out the skin and did cause some slight irritation in one area...however applying Homeoplasmine (French product; American dupe would be Aquaphor) has helped with the irritation. I HIGHLY recommend this gel and will never, ever be without! Thank you, CVS!

WOW. I have suffered from acne since I was about 11 or 12 and I'm never without at least one or two pimples on my face - and that's when my face looks good. Usually I have at least five at a time, and usually at least one major one. Though my skin has gotten less oily as I've gotten older, it's still more oily than average. I started using this last Friday and by Monday my face looked so much better! It's Wednesday now and my face is finally almost clear (I just have a few leftover pimples from before). It is really drying, so I've been slathering on the moisturizer. First, I wash my face with Cetaphil, then I use this CVS gel, and then I use a Simple brand moisturizer (because it's noncomedogenic). I cannot emphasize enough how great this product is! My pores, which are huge on my nose and large around my nose and on my chin, have almost completely shrunk. My skin tone seems more even and bright now, and I like that it has dried my face out some and reduced the T-zone oiliness. All of this combined with the fact that it's so cheap has definitely made this my HG product!!! Go try it because it's cheap, and just remember to moisturize a ton and wear sunscreen!

This product is FANTASTIC! I have dealt with acne for years now and tried all kinds of medication, from the expensive dermatologist recommended treatment, to high end makeup brand acne treatments. This one works so so so GOOD. I have very oily and acne prone skin so trying on a new product always scares me because I'm scared ill just get more acne, but this one was so amazing on my face. Within 2 days my acne was dried up and I started to see my face clear up. The redness I had from my acne has reduced drastically. My blackheads have vanished completely (I get them on my nose). It has dried up my face, so I reduce the amount I wear. I use it twice a day (in the morning and overnight). I love love love this product and will definitely continue to purchase this product! Thank you CVS!!!

So since I work for a school district and have the luxury of having my summers off, I decided to follow Acne.org's Regimen. The reason I waited to be off on summer vacation is because benzoyl peroxide dries out the skin horribly. Anyway, I bought a gentle cleanser (Purpose face cleanser "gentle as water") and 10% benzoyl peroxide. My St Ives Facial Moisturizer has worked wonders for keeping my skin hydrated despite the peeling my face went through. This regimen has worked WONDERFULLY!!!! I've been reading other reviews and I'm thinking of trying a 2.5 % version once I've finished up this tube. It sounds like using 2.5% lessens the drying affect and still does the job of killing the acne causing bacteria. All in all, I recommend following this regimen if nothing else has worked. I'm aware that I'll have to use this on any kind of breakout that pops up once my acne has resolved but I'm willing to do that in order to keep the cystic acne I used to get at bay.

OK! this stuff is A_M_A_Z_I_N_G!! as long as you dont apply it to thick around the more dry areas of your face. As a spot treatment, it does a good job as well but it isn't the best but more than good enough for me. I am 13 and I always get new acne that I absolutely do not want so when im having a good skin week... haha, i guess you could call it that, i apply this as a prevention 1-2 a day and it does just fine! Unlike all of the other effective products, this one has NO SMELL! so you wont get irritated by it. CVS Acne Treatment Gel = Awesomeness!!!!!!!!!

I've been using this as part of my skincare regimen for years. I use a dab on my t-zone as preventative medicine every single night. I will also use this to spot treat. This is NOT too harsh for my skin and does not make me overly dry. This is what has worked for me so I will keep on using it! Also-I love the CVS store brand. Others are too drying and can be thick and goopy. This is very light and smooth.

$3.99 (& check CVS for specials/coupons) instead of brand products that are 5.99. Works well and is pretty strong. I use this 3x a week on my nose, chin, forehead and cheeks, applied with a q-tip. Be sure to wear old PJs to bed due to bleaching, and only use a ratty old towel to dry your face. I wish this stuff didn't bleach :/

I alternate using this with CVS's tinted sulphur treatment which I find to be less drying and more suitable for day (the BP treatment can turn white if you layer on too much).

I don't find it works well with moisturizer (peels & flakes) so I usually apply it after using a SA toner like Clean & Clear.

Works so well on blackheads if you put it on in a regular basis (few times a week, even when you don't have any other issues). If I stop, they come back. Sometimes I alternate the BP with an SA gel if I need the exfoliation. continued >>

My usual acne spot treatment cream was the clearasil one, but it started to make my skin really dry so I wanted to try something new. I picked this up at my local Longs. Its my new hg acne cream. I started breaking out a lot on my forehead due to hawaiis hot ass weather and stress. My pimples were raised so even if I wore foundation/concealer, you could still see them. Packing on makeup to conceal my spots isn't a good idea but I didnt wanna go out in public with my gross zits. I started using this about 4 days and I already see improvement. On my 2nd day, the acne gel reduced the swelling of it so my zits were a tad bit smaller. I never got quick results with any other treatment gel. Def will repurchase!!!!

WOW. Awesome stuff! I am so impressed with this. I had two VERY painful pimples on my face, so I rushed to CVS looking for something. I decided on this and dabbed it on my pimples at night. The next day, the swelling was reduced and the pimples were no longer painful. By the end of 5 days, the pimples were GONE. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. No foul smell, no irritation, and cheap! HIGHLY recommended. Works better than all the Murad, Proactiv, etc. stuff I've tried.
