Bronzers -theBalm Cosmetics -Take Home the Bronze Anti-Orange Bronzer - Thomas

on 3/15/2019 2:23:00 AM

There are three shades of this bronzer; Oliver, Thomas, and Greg. I'm olive skin toned and thomas is the perfect shade for me (Oliver was too light). This is my new favorite bronzer, I prefer it to bahama mama and the physicians formula butter bronzer. The color is not orange at all but warms up my skin, giving it a healthy sun kissed look. It's a matte finish that doesnt look dull on the skin. No fragrance and I love the packaging.

Highlighters -theBalm Cosmetics -Cindy-Lou Manizer Highlighter Shadow & Shimmer

I don't understand what others are seeing? I always agree with Temptalia so I'm especially baffled with her awarding it glowing scores, as well as the over 80% rating here. To me, this isn't even a glowy blusher let alone a highlighter. It's a very dull glow and it's terribly chalky powdery (like most of thebalm stuff I've tried if not all, it kicks up tons of fallout.) It doesn't flatter me, the shade doesn't enliven my skin as it's a sallow dull dirty peach tone. The texture is drying and cakey. I hate it - and silly me bought a backup as I saw it on sale and grabbed 2 greedily. Maybe there's a lesson in there somewhere... :/

Blush -theBalm Cosmetics -Blush - Hot Mama

on 2/15/2019 7:00:00 PM

I was pleasantly surprised by this! I'd been wanting to try Nars Orgasm, but didn't really want to pay the price, and I was nervous the glitter would be too much. After some research, TheBalm Hot Mama came up as a dupe. I ordered it, and I actually really like it! I'm half Asian, half caucasian, and an NC20 in Mac and wear Ecru in Double Wear and Snow in Too Faced Peach Perfect. You need to use a pretty light hand with this as it's quite pigmented and easy to go overboard. It had a very soft gold highlight to it that doesn't accentuate my pores too much (I'm a super oily girl). I would definitely repurchase!

Blush -theBalm Cosmetics -DownBoy

It’s the only truely pink blush I can pull off. The quality of Balm blushes is well know and in this one it’s the same. I usually prefer peachy bluses so my perfection of a pink blush is Frat boy. However this blush looks suprisingly uplifting and natural on my skin which never happend to me with similar shades of pink. I gave it a five stars because of it, if you usually don’t like or wear these type of shades try this one. You might be pleasantly surprised as I am.

Blush -theBalm Cosmetics -Frat Boy Shadow Blush

I love this blush. It’s most definitely a pink but with some peach in it, but the tiny tiny amount. It’s mat, it stays all day, it can be build up, it can be applied lightly so it looks super natural. It’s a multipurpose blush to be honest, in my opinion it’s perfect spring blush for all of us who look fake and unatural with blue based pink blushes.
