Lotions/ Creams -Too Cool For School -Egg Mellow Body Butter

on 8/26/2018 2:52:00 PM

If you like the the fragrance of the Egg Mellow Cream (facial cream), you'll like this body butter - they have the same fragrance, which I happen to love. And this body butter is very rich & creamy - I love it! To me, it has a smooth, fairly sweet vanilla fragrance which hasn't been my typical go-to type of fragrance but I really do like this one!

Side note: after reading the glowing reviews on various sites re: the Sol Janeiro Bum Bum cream,I purchased that, along with the fragrance mist (Brazilian Crush), as a blind buy. To compare the Egg Mellow body butter and the Bum Bum cream, I prefer the Egg Mellow because it doesn't seem as boldly sweet (and loud) to me, yet it's still definitely a detectable fragrance and does have some staying power - very yummy!

Lip Treatments -Too Cool For School -Dinoplatz Lip Balm

This is a $15 pot of tinted lip balm I got a while ago and forgot about, only to recently rediscover and totally fall in love with it. First off, the packaging: it's ADORABLE. And I'm not that into packaging. It's a sizeable white tin with screw top lid that has 5 cute-not-scary dinosaur heads on it (see pic). I know. Also, practically speaking, the tin is fully functioning, closes tightly, and is easy to use.

I have it in Spilled Wine (sheer mulberry wine), and it comes in 2 other shades: Beet Jam (sheer red) & Melony Peony (sheer lavender-pink). Spilled Wine is the darkest shade (looks nearly black-red in the container) and goes on fairly sheer, but it does deposit color on my pigmented lips for sure. They end up with a juicy, flattering & natural berry tint. There is a pleasant, not too chemically scent & flavor. (Test first if you're sensitive.) It's dewy rather than glossy. I haven't tried the other shades.

The formula is A+ though. The texture is not waxy at all—it kind of has a cushiony feel that seems to help it adhere to lips. I wouldn't say this balm stains lips or lasts a long time, BUT it lasts long ENOUGH for this type of product. Like I said, there is something about it that adheres comfortably to lips. It doesn't just disappear into thin air! It's moisturizing enough too. Easy to reapply. CUTE to reapply.

I definitely recommend this. I wear it alone most often but it looks great over stains and as a topper for fading lipstick. There is a good amount of product that I feel justifies the price tag. Where has this been all my life?! Oh yeah. My lipstick drawer*

Also, my daughter thinks this is the best thing since LOL dolls. It would make a cute gift for a young girl!

Treatments (Face) -Too Cool For School -IX Drop Repair Serum

on 7/9/2018 7:46:00 AM

Hm like a lot of serum, this goes on nicely but gives a little sticky feeling which last for about 10 mins? I don't think it does much for my face. Unlike with the combined moisturiser and repair balm from this series which left my skin feeling bouncy 10 mins later, I don't see or feel any effects for this one. Hence, I guess I will pass on this!

Skincare -Too Cool For School -Rules of majestic ix enhancer

Hmm so this is the recovery balm for weaken skin. It goes on really creamy like a conditioner for hair. But surprisingly it goes on the skin really fast. My skin looks lot brighter but we can only tell after awhile. Will update. For now. Find it too creamy. \

Update: hmm my skin feels a lot softer 15 mins later! not sure if its this or the moisturiser from the same range but pretty amazing!
