Toners -Thayers -Alcohol-Free Lavender Witch Hazel Toner

on 4/20/2019 12:48:00 PM

Does this stuff really balance your skin's pH and help prevent breakouts and excessive oiliness while also keeping skin hydrated?

Hell if I know.

What I DO know is that this stuff smells heavenly. I put some in a spray bottle and spritz it onto my face morning and night after cleansing and before doing the rest of my routine. Sometimes, if I've overdone the acne treatments and my skin's a little parched, I'll spritz some on as a final step and lightly pat it in. $10 gets you a whopping 355ml of product, and if you use it in a spray bottle, it lasts forever. Seriously. I bought my current bottle in January and it's just now halfway empty.

So is this product a miracle, a holy grail, an absolute must if you want clear and perfect skin? Maybe not. But it's a bargain and an absolute treat to use, and sometimes that's all the justification a product needs.

Toners -Thayers -Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula Alcohol-Free Toner - Cucumber

on 3/16/2019 2:59:00 PM

I love this witch hazel toner. I prefer the non scented one tho. I use this immediately after washing my face on a cotton pad. It helps remove any makeup I missed and leaves my skin feeling clean. This doesn't dry out my combo skin. It's a bit basic but that's part of it's appeal to me. It's no frills and does it's job. Of course I follow with other products. I feels this preps my skin for serums beautifully.

Preps for skincare.
Leaves skin clean and refreshed.
Non drying.
Price plus you get a large amount.

Scent/fragrance. I prefer my skincare to be fragrance free.

This is a staple for me. I always have a bottle in my cabinet. I'll stick to the fragrance free version tho.

Toners -Thayers -Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner - Rose Petal

This toner basically gets the job done. Removes impurities. Tightens the skin. But I feel it is on the dry side. Doesn’t moisturise or does anything else. Wish it came in a smaller bottle too - easier for travel. It has a great smell - very light rosy natural scent

Toners -Thayers -Unscented Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner with Aloe Vera

I used the rose petal one for a couple of years a few years ago. Can't remember why I stopped using it, but I decided to try the unscented one recently. It's a little soon to tell if it does anything for my skin as far as acne goes, but it seems to depart just enough moisture to relieve dryness for me, and it feels refreshing and pleasant. It's a nice step at night, and in the morning it feels like it helps my sunscreen lock moisture in, if that makes sense. I'm disappointed that Thayer's recently changed the formula, but so far I like it.

Update: I don't think this really does anything for my skin honestly.

Toners -Thayers -Lavender Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner

Usually I use (& adore) Humphrey's Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel toner. However, I saw this toner at a discounted price that wound up being cheaper per fluid ounce than my holy grail, so I decided to give it a shot. It's not terrible I guess... but I didn't realize how much I loved the Humphrey's until now.

I typically use toner right after cleansing my face, to remove trace remnants of makeup that are left over & to balance my skin's pH. This product doesn't do anything to take off lingering makeup though. I know that's not necessarily the purpose of toner, so I didn't take off a lippie for that. It's nice that the Humphrey's one works for that purpose too though.

The smell of this product okay. I'm a huge lavender fan but this scent doesn't appeal to me much. Also, this toner leaves my face feeling sort of dry, even though the formula is alcohol-free.

I like the packaging alright. I like that the ingredients list is simple & natural. But those are about the only pros I can think of. I'll use this up but won't repurchase.
