Hair -Nature's Gate -Herbal Hair Conditioner

on 3/16/2018 1:56:00 PM

This is the only shampoo and conditioner combo I have repeatedly purchased. The only reason I stop using it is that I get bored and want to try new things.

Both the shampoo and conditioner have a sweet herbal smell and they're both brown. The smell can seem strong at first but it does fade. I wish it didn't fade so much because I love herbal smells.

The shampoo is very gentle. It may take a bit more product than a shampoo with stronger detergents, but that's how shampoos with gentler detergents are. It rinses easily and doesn't leave hair feeling completely stripped, which is great if you like to shampoo often like I do.

The conditioner is brown and translucent. Super weird when you first dispense it into your hand, because it almost has a shampoo look to it. As soon as it touches your hair, it begins to soften and detangle, though. I promise. You'll definitely be able to get a comb through your hair.

I have used this on virgin hair and on over processed bleached hair and it always gives solid results. There's a reason this stuff has been around since the 70s.

Cleansers -Nature's Gate -Lemon Verbena Cleansing Gel

It's a great non-drying face wash. It has a great price and good ingredients. I love it and it keeps my acne at bay.

Shampoo -Nature's Gate -Herbal Hair Shampoo

I originally purchased this shampoo because of the smell in the store. I was instantly in love! And after using it for months, I can say I'm not switching to anything else. It's perfect. I don't even use the conditioner (although I use a bit of leave in conditioner post-shower to help to obtain waves). Everything I wanted in a shampoo, including the fact that it's natural. Really great stuff and my hair has never looked (or smelled) better. :)

Shampoo -Nature's Gate -Nature's Gate Aloe Vera Moisturizing Shampoo

It took me a while to realize how much I NEED this shampoo. At first it really seems like nothing special. Doesn't smell amazing, isn't super lathery, doesn't even really moisturize that well, as it claims. When I first used it I was really disappointed and then it sat under my sink forever. But I recently realized it makes my hair look better than any shampoo I've ever used. I should tell you; I have horrible hair. I know girls tend to say that but I really, truly do. I used to have nice hair until a postpartum hormonal imbalance left me with thin, once perfectly straight now wavy, so thin it's forced to be short, starting to go slightly grey, just seriously lame hair. When it dries it twangs every which way and it's so fragile I can't put product in or blow dry it. So, to my point! This shampoo makes it dry straight and adds body to it! Hooray! I use this shampoo, don't condition it (if I do the magic somehow disappears) and then towel dry a bit and don't comb it and I am guaranteed to have a good hair day. I have tried many of their shampoos and none of them do this except this one. Maybe it's the macadamia oil in it?

Cleansers -Nature's Gate -Cleansing Milk - Rice Bran

Really gentle, non-drying and nourishing! I have oily skin but it doesn't leave an oily residue. It has a really strong herbal smell and I used to hate it at first, but you get used to it. However, I won't repurchase this when I run out because I have tried other cleansers that I like more.
