Lip Treatments -LANEIGE -Lip Sleeping Mask

Works for me! I use a thick layer of this last thing before going to sleep and wipe it off in the morning with a damp cotton wash cloth. Instructions state to 'wipe any remaining gently' but I find using a gentle hand is insufficient for removing dead skin. When I follow Laneige's method I end up with a layer of dead skin which isn't a good look, especially when a drying, matte lipstick goes on over it. So a good scrub it is, and if I don't have the wash cloth handy then I just reach for a lip scrub. Either way exfoliation seems to be integral to success with 'Lip sleeping mask'. I have this in 'Vanilla' which smells somewhat artificial but doesn't bother me much. What does however is the ingredients's not the most natural and I'm all too conscious of the fact that this is on my lips. At the end of the day some of this can and will end up in my stomach overnight and I'm not sure if that's a good thing! If not for that would give 5 lippies as the product itself does what it promises to, for me at least.

Foundations -LANEIGE -BB Cushion Pore Control SPF50

I should start off by saying that this product is suitable for very oily or oily/combination skin ONLY. I have a very oily t-zone and dry cheeks, and this product did work well for me.

1. Works particularly well if you live in a hot + humid country.
2. Really helps in oil control and sebum production throughout the day. In fact, this is where the main complaint might come in for those with dry skin - it does cause patchiness if there is not enough oil/moisture on the skin for this product to combat.
3. I've worn this for 12-hour long work days and it still looks great (semi-matte + clear) without touch-ups. I don't powder this foundation down at all, and it still stays on my face the whole day.
4. Buildable coverage + amazing SPF protection.

1. Does not work well during winter or dryer months when the air is colder/dryer, even if you have oily skin. This product is really effective in mattifying your skin. So it's better to use during hotter seasons - which then begs the question if it's economical. :')

1. To combat the dryness of my cheeks, I apply a moisturising primer (Tarte base tape primer works very well for me - it contains coconut milk), and then apply this foundation on top.
2. Moisturising/hydrating concealers work best with this foundation, in my opinion! E.g. Tarte's shape tape is NOT a good combo with this one, but something like Maybelline's age rewind concealer is a better pick!
3. I wouldn't recommend using a powder to set this foundation - it's not needed since it's long-lasting and mattifying. But each to his own, so you gotta see what works best for you!

Masks -LANEIGE -Water Sleeping Mask

I live in a condo where the air is dry and have dry skin in the winter. I purchased this hoping that it would moisturize my skin better. I didn't notice significant changes after using this. To be sure, I tested this mask on exactly HALF my face at night, on top of my regular moisturizer. There were ZERO differences in the morning for both sides of my skin. So I guess it doesn't do anything for me?

Pros: smells nice, good packaging, mildly moisturizing
Cons: expensive, not SUPER moisturizing, doesn't add a glow to your skin

I really don’t think this product works. I hate that it feels sticky as well.

BB Cream -LANEIGE -BB Cushion_Whitening SPF 50+ PA+++

I purchased a mini version of this because I was so intrigued by it & finally succumbed to it.

Living in the tropics, humid climate. Oily combo skin type, acne prone/slight blemishes currently. Currently an NC25-30 skin tone. Using shade 23 Sand which happens to be a good match.

I have tried initial application with the cushion sponge but I found that it kind of sticks to my skin in a not nice way. Did not like the texture that it looked on my skin afterwards.

Afterwards I switched to applying the product with a beauty blender & preferred the finish much, much better. The shade blends really well into my skin. I don’t have much to cover in general except my cheeks which have blemishes, so I applied the most from the cheek area and outwards.

Surprisingly it also concealed my pore areas nicely. It almost feels like skin. I almost regret that I did not try it earlier!

Coverage wise, light-medium coverage, and buildable with a natural finish. If you have oily combo skin type like me, best bet is to set the product and it can last for a good 6-8 hrs without coming off. I’m not a fan of touch ups, but this is great as the packaging is compact.

If you prefer heavier coverage, this might not be for you. You may still need to use a fair bit of concealer to achieve a fuller coverage.

In terms of “whitening” properties, I’m not sure if this has it, I haven’t really noticed much. But it’s definitely something that I would possibly repurchase at a full size version!

Really really pleased. I think I’m going back to using Kbeauty products.

Hope this helps!
