I’ve been waiting some time to write up a review on this product since I wanted to see how well it wore and how my skin reacted to it over the space of a few weeks.
Some background on my skin: I have normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone. My skin is fairly even except for the slight demarcation lines near my upper lip (a lot of darker-skinned people have this problem) and my skin tone is NC 40. That being said, I can’t speak for this product’s coverage capabilities since I go over the demarcation lines and also my undereyes with concealer (the foundation does boost the coverage though).
I wear the Fenty in 290 and it starts off a bit pale but oxidizes quickly enough and matches me so perfectly that even my own mother had no idea I was wearing makeup.
I like to apply it sparingly (for regular work days) with a dome shaped brush in buffing and stippling motions, starting from the center of my face and working my way outwards. If I apply it with a beauty blender, I don’t like to dot it on since it dries so fast; instead I take a pump on to the back of my hand and press it in well into the sponge and then dab it on to my face.
This foundation lasts all day, looks like my skin but oh-so better and blurs pores. The formula is on the dry side; I like this for my skin type but I could see someone with a dryer skin type mixing this with a facial oil.
I feel like the oxidization issue along with the dryer formula are the two reasons there are such mixed reviews for this product. The girl at Sephora had actually sold me shade 310 which I ended up returning once it made me look like I’d gotten fake tanned. I highly recommend testing out a couple of shades before buying anything, that’s for sure! Shade 290 matches me like a dream and I’m totally hooked on this product now.

This is a fantastic lipstick. It glides I’m feeling like a balm but is a very pigmented, quite matte and long wearing lipstick. It isn’t transfer proof, but it doesn’t claim to be so that doesn’t bother me. It wears really well though, and leaves quite a stain behind. The colour is very flattering and wearable despite of how bright it is.

I absolutely love this primer! At first when it came out I thought everything was hyped up because Rihanna finally came out with a makeup line and didn't purchase it right away. I recently got a trial size of this primer from Sephora and I will definitely purchase a full size when it's done! I have oily/acne prone skin and finding a primer has been very difficult. I've tried many primers (drugstore and high-end) and haven't had much luck with any controlling my oily skin. In fact, most primers I've tried made my skin look oilier than normal especially during the hot summer months. The Fenty primer comes with a pump which is a plus! It dispenses just the amount you need, you do not need any more than one pump. It is scented but not overbearing and it doesn't linger. At first I was hesitant because primer itself feels very moisturizing but once it's on the skin, it sets very quickly so you can put foundation on right after. I've tried this primer with a variety of foundations (including the Fenty foundation) and it definitely controls my oils and ensures everything stays in place for the entire day with little to no touch ups. I typically reach for this primer for special events or even work when I have a long day. The only con for me is the frosted container. I've had this issue with other products in frosted containers where it's a bit difficult to see how much product is left especially when it's close to being empty.

I have this trio in light. The contour shade does not look natural on my nc20 skin. It looked kind of ashy. The concealer shade used under my eyes caked like crazy and went into my creases. The highlighter (starstruck) is too glittery for everyday. The thing I don’t like the most is that they are very chalky and impossible to blend even with a damp BB. I actually prefer the KKW contour sticks to this. The only good thing I can say is that the packaging adorable and I like the magnet idea. These were just not creamy enough for me and the colors were not for my skin tone. I still love fenty beauty but this product was just not for me.
