Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Amuse Bouche Chai

Quite pleased with this, and quickly becoming a Bite Beauty fan. This "mauve brown" wears on me (AAB/NC25) more like a medium toned rosy neutral. The feel of the lipstick is also very nice - creamy, smooth, nourishing, non-drying. Great coverage with just one swipe. The only gripe I have is that I have to read the label to know what the shade is inside.
*There was an odd, fleeting scent to it at first, which I could not quite place, but it was gone the second time I uncapped it.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Matte Creme Lip Crayon GLACE

Quite pleased with this. I'm not a huge fan of mattes in general, but this is either creamy enough or not quite matte. The color is "dusty mauve" which is pretty much MLBB with my AAB/NC25 coloring. The texture is great - creamy and non-drying, very comfortable, long-wearing. I also like the packaging, a twist-up fat pencil which is easy to work with, with a band of color on the butt end which hints at the shade inside.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Amuse Bouche Verbena

Verbena is a very pretty deeper rosy warm neutral lipstick with a satiny finish. The color is gorgeous and I definitely think it would work for a variety of skin tones; on my pale skin it is a gorgeous deeper flush (the same shade as my natural lip color but much darker), but on deeper skin tones it would be a nice rosy nude. It is actually fairly close to Bite's Chai, but it is warmer and more clearly rosy. It almost has that grungy 90s red feel (like UD 1995 or Pat McGrath 1993) without being too brown or grey-toned. It is a lipstick that I can just grab and go, and I highly appreciate that. The formula is great, and the wear time is nice considering it is not matte.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Amuse Bouche Lit Tumeric

foto

Lit Tumeric is a lovely medium orange from Bite's summer '18 Spice Things Up collection. It is somewhere between muted and bright, and it is very pigmented and opaque. It is warm, but it is not a red-based orange; instead, it is more of a true orange that's been turned down just a touch. It has the same awesome formula of all of the Amuse Bouche lipsticks, and it wears very well due to the opacity.

Lipstick -Bite Beauty -Amuse Bouche Hot Harissa

foto

I can safely say that this might be one of my dream-come-true lipsticks. Bite's formula is one of my absolute favorites, and they always seem to make interesting, somewhat novel colors that are still flattering and appealing. Hot Harissa is kinda like MAC Chili, but more pigmented and maybe a touch lighter. I'd call it a burnt orange-red; Bite calls it brick-red (which is sorta apt but definitely glosses over the orangeyness) while Temptalia calls it a warm copper. Anyway, it is warm, vibrant, bold, yet not overwhelming and completely flattering. I am super fair, but I think this would look lovely on many skin tones, especially if you favor warmer lippies, reds, oranges, warm browns, and colors in that vein. The formula is the same Bite goodness that I know and love: smooth, comfortable, and pigmented. When I saw Bite's Spice Things Up collection (summer '18) I got super excited, because these are the exact kinds of colors that I like--redheads, take note, because these lipsticks are amazing.
