This is the most gorgeous, beautiful, amazing palette I have ever had. The shades are beautiful, particularly for day looks, but you can get night looks also out of it. The colors compliment each other amazingly. Just do yourself a good deed and buy it if you find this range of colors appealing.

I was not expecting much with these brushes as they were so cheap. I have used expensive brush sets/kits such as Bobbi Brown, NYX, Morphe, etc. But a friend of mine who does makeup professionally urged me to try these. I bought the 14 piece Signature brush set (that also comes with a gorgeous white and gold canister for storage) for less than $20 bucks about 3 years ago. I use most of them every day and wash about every 2 weeks. No fallout problems, shape problems, washing problems, and they STILL are doing their jobs for me after 3 years of having them and daily use! My expensive-as-hell Bobbi Brown and Morphe brushes did not last this long or as well this long, and some of the brushes in those lines were not even worth buying. ALL the BH work for me, so I don't have to mix and match from other lines or sets. I would encourage anyone to try these! They excel for an inexpensive brush set!

I'm delightfully surprised by this little palette. I wore it all Summer long, and I'm in the process of panning it now. The bronzer part is a little shimmery for my personal taste, but I just use a little on the top of my cheekbones and temples, and it is really pretty. The only color that doesn't work for my fair / neutral skin is the gold highlighter, because I end up looking like C3P0. Instead, I use it on my shoulders and collarbones for a soft golden glow when I have a tan. The price is very good, not bad quality, and I would consider purchasing it again. There is a little bit of dust that kicks up when you touch your brushes in the product, but if you use a gentle hand, that should be kept to a minimum. One of the better products I've purchased from BH!

I happen to own version no. 1 and 2, and I really like both of them a lot. I have a medium skin tone, and I have no problems using either version, however, I will say that I am a bit partial to the original contour and blush palette, because the shades happen to appeal to me a bit more. Nonetheless, you really can't go wrong with each. The amount of powder that you get in each pan within each separate palette is quite a generous amount, so you definitely are getting your money's worth for sure. Also, the staying power is pretty good overall. Plus, BH Cosmetics is always running really great sales, so you can often get it at a much lower price that what it actually retails. Which is always s great thing! It is not something that is easily portable, but I am totally fine with that, nonetheless.

I was very excited to receive this in the mail but found myself quite underwhelmed. The formula if these is quite soft and not very refined, and because of this and their extreme shine, the shades emphasis texture quite a bit. I have scars on one of my cheek bones from childhood cat trauma, and while I normally don't notice them, this definitely emphasizes the scaring. That being said, I always look for the positives in a product, and this is a decent highlighting palette. Using a very light hand, you may be able to achieve a softer glow (I failed at this) but it is quite intense. The colors are also gorgeous, definitely nothing wrong in that department
