Yes this is a dupe for the Shisheido curlers but I didn't like them and I'm not particularly keen on these either. There is no "bounce" in these, curlers which is something I personally prefer....

This is the gold colored curler. It's a bit pricier than the standard version but still under $5 and comes with 2 extra pads. I bought it because of rumors that it's comparable to the Shiseido...
