I have never owned the MAC version of this, and frankly I could careless about comparing Sigma to MAC (either Sigma is good or it's not) but I do say I love this brush. I bought the complete set...

I agree with the reviewer below me, this is nothing like the mac 219, it's more like a mini 217. It doesn't have the sharp point that the mac 219 has, you definitely can't use it as a pencil brush....
