MY SKIN
Very pale. Lancome 010 or 005, and many brands do not have a shade pale enough. In Bobbi Brown I am Porcelain.
Lines? No.
Dryness? No.
Oily? No but T zone is a tiny bit oilier as day goes on.
Sensitive? Yes- avoid perfumed products.

For me, colour is the main issue because I am very pale, with coverage being the second.
I don't need a lot of …

Blush - benefit Cosmetics - Box O'Powder Blush - Dandelion

Jun/06/2014

I took the plunge with this but am disappointed.

Pros
It's pale and suits my skin- Porcelain in Bobbi Brown. 2 sweeps of the brush and it's really noticeable on me! But then I am pale!

Cons
It's expensive for what it is - you don't get much product and the packaging is hopeless.
Doesn't last long- needs touching up after a couple of …

Stick - Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation Stick

This is a review for the NEW foundation stick.

Bobbi Brown foundation: in my opinion you have to choose between good colour match and limited coverage. I have tried several of their foundations and none is perfect. I wanted to like this because I have yet to find a foundation that has medium semi-matte coverage and is the right colour for my pale skin.

SUMMARY- I'm …

Crème - Laura Mercier - Crème Smooth Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

Feb/12/2014

For once I found a foundation that was too pale for me!
Loved the texture- bit like applying a moisturiser. Good coverage. Dewy but not greasy.
BUT- Porcelain Ivory was too pale by about a shade- made me look ghostly.
In Bobbi Brown I use Porcelain.
Back to Laura Mercier....Porcelain Blush is far too pink and the next shade up is too dark.

So- no good for me which …

Mascara - Maybelline New York - Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara

Feb/11/2014

Bought this for the 2nd time but won't again.

Very hard to remove.
Makes my lashes feel hard when it's on them.
Clumps if you apply more than a couple of coats.

I tried this to economise after using Lancome mascaras - but looks like I'm going to have to fork out for those again.

Masks - CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

4.0

Jan/11/2014

I use quite a few Clinique products and have previously used Moisture Surge.
This mask is nice but I'm pushed to tell the difference between this and the Moisture Surge gel. Yes, this is more like a cream and not a gel, but that's the only difference.
It sinks into your skin and to be honest doesn't feel or look like a mask- it's just a moisturiser. My skin does feel …

Concealers - Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer

Jan/06/2014

I'd be lost without this. I've used it for years and it's great.

It's creamy and covers my blue under eye circles.

I pat in on the skin and it just works.

The only downside is that if you do touch your face it does transfer and comes off easily. You can set it with powder but in my experience the powder makes the concealer darker and you lose …

Liquid - Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15

Jan/05/2014

I tried this in Porcelain and went back to ask for a refund after noticing the smell- lavender. It's highly fragranced with it and potentially irritating. I swapped it for Moisture Rich which I have some issues with too but at least I can use it without it being an irritant.

This covers well, but as someone with normal-dry skin I found it too matte- it's probably best for …

Pressed Powders - Laura Mercier - Pressed Setting Powder - Translucent

Jan/05/2014

I'm a bit of a powder novice. I hardly ever use or buy powder because my skin is normal-dry sometimes.

However, I thought a tiny dusting of powder might help my foundation to stay in place if I wasn't able to touch it up over the day.

I bought this online after looking also at Clinique and Bobbi Brown.

I have to be honest and say I have hardly used it …
