Well, I *think* I've found my HG foundation. I'm a fan of Revlon's Colorstay stick foundation but it wasn't my HG. I checked out MUA's foundation reviews before I purchased this, and I have to say I agree with most of them (I was actually looking for L'Oreal Quickstick, but that appears to be discontinued). This gave my skin a beautiful, satin finish. It completely …Read more
This review is for Doublestay Longlasting foundation with SPF 6. It has (low) broad-spectrum SPF protection and a semi-matte finish. Pros: Nice light souffle texture applied easily and it lasted most of the day; it was semi-matte on most of my face; my skin looked like it had a nice natural glow. Cons: Oily forehead breakthrough; baby powder scent, and magnified pores on cheeks. P.S. *zero …Read more
Reviewing Studio Gear Brown Cake eyeliner. I went to Ulta to check out a shadow recommended by another MUA'er but decided on this instead. It is a very dark brown, densely pigmented cake. I dipped the brush into the cake, tapped it off, and then smooshed it into the back of my hand, it then was very easy to apply it to my eyes - very smooth (a Trish McEvoy SA showed me this technique, it …Read more
this is great spiking glue because it really does hold your hair like glue, but my hair was still touchable. Also it was very easy to work with. I tried Ice's Wicked Grip at twice the price and that product was very difficult to work with, it was like stiff glue coming out of the tube. Much prefer & recommend this product.
I have to agree with a reviewer below regarding the packaging, click too much and you have gloss all over the place. But this was 50% off so I can't complain too much. The color was beautiful and it stayed on for a couple of hours. Really disliked the smell, though.
This comes in the same shallow hinged pot as the single shades, but the two shades are together in one disc. Left side is a light shimmery taupe. Right side is a dark olive green with gold shimmer in it. I swept the taupe all over, then went down the middle of the disc to use a mixture of taupe and green for the lid/crease area, then lined with green. I used my fingers and liner brush. I mention …Read more
First of all I must say the packaging is very small and chic - maybe 2" x 2" with a silver top. And a mirror inside. So cute. Cashew is a taupey beige shadow along with a dark brown powder eyeliner. I found the liner was not pigmented enough or dark enough for my liking. It did work much better as a wet liner. It's more intense that way. Still searching for my HG black-brown powder …Read more
I usually use Neutrogena Healthy Skin lotion. This seemed to give me the same results as the Neutrogena, but the texture of this cream is so much more pleasant to work with. Great results within a couple of days (little lines lessened). Don't know if it's worth my switching from Neutrogena because it's more expensive.
