Hourglass has just launched in Poland and I was invited to one of their events in my local Sephora. A lovely rep demonstrated this foundation for me and although I was looking for the Immaculate one, I was talked into buing the Vanish. I bought into the hype and now I regret it. Here’s why:

Not for dry skin, because it makes it look like paper, accentuates dry patches, deepens my lines …

This is one of the most expensive foundations that I bought, so I very much wanted it to be the HG. It looks so glamorous: an elegant glass bottle with a fancy stopper. Oops, it’s quite unstable! It almost fell on the floor when I put it back on the shelf. The coverage is medium plus, I’d say. I didn’t notice any of the promised „glow” though, the finish is just flat. And the worst thing about …Read more

Hands down, the best night cream for dry skin there is. Crazy expensive but it’s worth its price. I use it as an eye contour cream only, because other parts of my face are combination/oily and I don’t usually put anything on my face except the eye area.
I have paper-thin, sensitive skin around eyes, with a tendency to itch and flake. This cream is truly amazing: my skin is now firmer and …

I bought it on CultBeauty after a thorough online research and my match is spot-on. The shade Fair 1 is perfect for my NC15 skin. At first it may look a little too pale, but then it oxidizes slightly and matches my skin colour well. It’s truly neutral. Not yellow and not pink. The coverage is medium.
It feels very pleasant upon application: like a luxe, creamy moisturizer, although the …

After the Chanel CC Cream in b10 (which I mixed with a dab of 20 to get a perfect hue) was discontinued in Poland, I was looking for a good natural-looking foundation.
I don’t need full coverage make-up, but I want to soften the fine lines and even out my complexion a little - when I hit forty, my acne had magically gone away. So, hello good skin!
I bought it in the lightest shade …

This is my favourite compact powder. I’ve repurchased it four or five times and I swear I won’t come back to my former favourite: Chanel’s Poudre Universelle Compacte.
The powder doesn’t look heavy on my face. In fact, it is translucent, but gives a slightly „blurry” finish which is very flattering as I’m in my early 40s. It has never broken me out (while other powders have), it has a very …

This is all I wanted the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder to be!
The Earthy shade is a perfect hybrid of a blush and a contouring powder, with a hint of a bronzer.
I adore the luxe packaging accompanied with a black velvet pouch. The case is easy to open and I love its big mirror. I like the fragrance which at first is strong but not overpowering.
The texture is fine, the blush is …

I bought it because it has rave reviews everywhere and I needed a natural-looking , shimmer-free contourer. The price is steep for the amount of product you get, but I was sure I would not regret buying this... You know, hundreds of reviewers can't be wrong, and the cult status of the brand...
The package is sleek, the shade looks rather light in the compact. To my disappointment, every …

This is the only coloured conditioner I've used that actually *conditions* my hair. It doesn't dry it out, it tames frizz and gives my hair a healthy shine. I'm growing the roots out, which are dark mousey blonde, and I don't like my yellowish platinum ends that tell the story of my countless bleach/dye jobs. Tip: if you don't want a typical silver blonde, mix two parts …Read more

The price is exorbitant for the tiny bottle you get, especially as the results that I got from using the conditioner don't justify it. The scent is just beautiful and clean (white flowers), and the ingredients' list promises a lightweight product. Alas, no matter how small amount I take, and I use it only on the very ends of my hair, after a couple of hours my hair always looks flat …Read more
