This is a Serge that I am definitely not impressed with. It smells exactly like fresh, earthy dirt to me and it doesn't last long enough on me to appreciate any of the other notes in it. Happy for those that can call this their holy grail; but for me, I call it an expensive scrubber.
I love this. It smells expensive, almost like the interior leather of a very expensive and rare car. It took me several wearings to fall in love with it. It has a smoky opening and it was almost medicinal smelling to my nose. After about an hour, I could smell the leather notes mixed in with faint scent of florals. Aldehydes are rich. I put on the EDT one morning and while I love it, once I …Read more
Unfortunately, this one is a scrubber for me. I am a fan of Serge and own many, and even though I tried to like this one, I simply couldn't get over the cherry cough syrup smell. I don't know whether to drink it or wear it. Thankfully, it doesn't last long on me. A big waste of money for a bell jar, that's what this is for me. E-Bay, here I come.
I have been reading about this legendary fragrance for quite some time and having never tried it, based on the reviews, I made a blind purchase of a bell jar from a friend who was visiting Paris. Now I know what all the fuss is about. This is so beautiful, especially once you get past the initial bombastic menthol smell. When the menthol calms down, the floral creation shows up and I must say …Read more
Blind purchase this one was. Not really impressed at first, but it definitely grew on me. It is a warm, comforting, and dare I say, yummy fragrance. It lasts all day on me. I find myself sniffing my wrists most of the day and also reaching for it over and over again in spite of my having so many darned fragrances to choose from. I think that this is my favorite vanilla scent...right up there …Read more
This is the only fragrance that I have found that smells so much like honeysuckle that it is almost jarring to my memory bank. I used to sit on the library steps and read when I was younger and it was surrounded by honeysuckle bushes. Wow... this captures that perfectly. Long-lasting. I don't wear this often as I prefer rich orientals to florals, but this is definitely a gorgeous fragrance …Read more

Love this. When first applied, it does remind me of carrots covered in earthy dirt. But it is oh so nice once that fades away. It smells sophisticated and richly feminine. Others complain that it doesn't last long, but for me it does. Try this if you like Prada Infusion d'Iris. This one willl knock that one right out of the water. It is quietly reserved, but elegant at the same …Read more
This is a warm and sensual fragrance. After I got over the initial medicinal smell of the oud, the fragrance dried down to something so warm and calming. The rose is heightened by the oud. The combination is unbeatable and really lasts a long time on me. The bottle is absolutely perfect in all it's gold glory. The amber, sandalwood and oud are really pronounced, with a somewhat leathery …Read more
This is the first Montale that I have tried and I am in love. The patchouli in this fragrance is sexy and haunting, which seems so unlike most other patchoulis that I have experienced. The vanilla, musk and amber nicely round out the patchouli, even softening it up a bit. The drydown on this is creamy and soft, while at the same time intense. What a contradiction! Whenever I am close to …Read more
