Lipstick - RIMMEL - Moisture Renew - Nude Delight

I usually never buy nude lipsticks. In fact, I avoid them like the plague. My lips are naturally quite mauve-colored, so nudes make me look like I'm six feet underground (excuse my morbidity, but you know what I mean). My go-to 'natural' lipstick is something akin to Mac Fast Play, Twig, or Soap & Glory Red My Lips (which is totally fantastic and not at all red, by the way) …Read more

Two things to note: 1) I have dry, non-sensitive skin. I anticipated a slight stinging sensation upon application, as those with dry skin should since this is a pore minimizing, tightening product. To avoid this discomfort, use only in areas that you are oily or get blemishes. You can even use it as a spot treatment. If you have oily skin, you should be able to use this all over without issue. If …Read more

Blue lipgloss? Yep. And it's great. I'm not a big lipgloss kinda girl, but I reach for this whenever I need a little extra plump and moisture on my lips. It can go over the top of anything, like a clear gloss would, but has the added benefit (get it?) of making teeth appear whiter and brighter. But be aware that it will add a blue tint, which isn't a problem for you cool-toned …Read more

Ehh. I guess this is fine. I have only ever received this product in tester form when purchasing online from Sephora or Ulta, or when I received my Naked eyeshadow palettes.

I find that the formulation deteriorates quite quickly, so that the oil separates and comes out first like old mustard or ketchup bottles do (ew. I know). Strangely, I haven't had this problem with Sin, the …

I'm going to be honest; girls with sparse, thin brows that need a lot of filling in - this product is not for you. Look away. Girls with thick, full brows that require minimal grooming - GO BUY. I happen to be in this latter category, and this product is fantastic. I sweep it through my brows to deepen the color, fill in spaces that are slightly sparser, and set hairs in place. It looks …Read more

Fantastic powder. Nice and translucent, affordable, finely milled. It's a total behind-the-scenes hero; sets your face without leaving a trace! (Why am I such a poet?) I use this far more than my Mac Prep n Prime or Nars translucent pressed powders. It's a winner. And the packaging is totally cute.

To set a heavy face of makeup, or if you have oily skin, press the powder into …

Yum yum yum yum. Sorry, that was just the sound of my dry skin eating up this deliciously moisturizing product. If you suffer from dry skin like I do, you probably find that most moisturizers are soaked up instantly and you have to apply multiple coats before your face stops feeling taught and tight. Then, also like me, you might begin to break out for no apparent reason. It's not fun. But …Read more

Oh my gumdrops. This product is a dream. It glides on effortlessly and does everything it promises to - minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines without looking oily or greasy, like so many primers. It really does fill in pores, and doesn't just blur them like Baby Skin or Revlon Miracle Blur seem to. It feels as weightless and pillowy as the fluffy clouds the greek gods have sex on …Read more

Ah, where to start. This highlighter has replaced all my previous favourites, including Nars Albatross, Dior Amber Diamond, Estee Lauder Heat Wave, etc. It just gives such a subtle, healthy looking glow. It is less yellow-toned than Albatross, less gold than Amber Diamond and more natural than Heat Wave. It is not too shimmery or powdery, so doesn't look fake or too obvious on the skin …Read more

Ugh. Okay, I'm going against the grain here. I am a massive fan of gel eyeliners, and have tried most brands out there (Bobbi Brown, Mac, MUG, Maybelline, Wet 'n Wild, all of it). While I love Blacktrack by Mac, I cannot stand the formulation of the other gel eyeliners I have tried from them. And trust me, it's not like I haven't given them time to grow on me. I own …Read more
