I have this in American Woman, a “chestnut rose” which looks like a rich rosewood shade on me. Applies like a dream and dries down in a minute or two. It’s semi-matte until it dries then matte when dry, especially if I Pete my lips together. It’s not as dry as other matte liquid lipsticks I have tried. Wears comfortably.
I wasn't sure if I was ready for liquid foundation, so I thought a powder one would be a good start. Plus, I wanted the mineral SPF. It's been years since I tried this. I'm AAB/NC25 and Golden Beige #13 is a good match for me. I use the Bare Minerals Beautiful Finish Foundation Brush to apply. I don't have any complaints with the packaging - there's a twist lid which …Read more
Found this at Target for $12. Funny looking brush. Wide but fat, and asymmetrical (longer on one end than the other with a slight wave to the profile). Looking end-on at the tips of the bristles, they look like massaging nubbins. Silvertone handle pinches down to a narrow neck and flares out to a triangular knob that's flattened on the end so you can stand it up. So, it doesn't fit …Read more
This brand offers a try-before-you-buy, where you pay $5 for the shipping and have 14 days to return or get charged the full price $44 to keep it. The online quiz didn't seem particularly insightful, but probably necessary since they offer 50(!) shades. The shade it picked (#105, medium neutral) turned out to be an excellent match for me. After moisturizer and primer, I apply with a …Read more

I really like this brush. The shape looks gimmicky but performs beautifully - picture a flat top brush with round cross-section, then extend the bristles of the outer 1/4" of the diameter by another 1/4" in length to form a longer ring of bristles. Synthetic bristles. Very soft, and great for buffing powder foundation on the skin. Thick, solid handle with round cross-section. $32 …Read more
I bought this because I want to switch to a moisturizer with physical sunscreen and ditch the chemical sunscreen ingredients.
At first, I did not like this. It felt like... sunscreen. Ugh. You know, that greasy, thick, waterproof white paste feel, on my face and on my hands. It took a bit of massaging to work it in to make the whitish cast go away in spots, but the whiteness …Read more
I've been wanting to go back to shampoo bars. My hair is short, fine, and without any issues.
I love this product. It's simple and pure, and does a great job with my hair. I wet my hair first, work up a little lather with the bar in my hands, then work my lathered hands through my hair. I don't need much lather at all to clean my hair, so this bar is going to last …Read more
This cleanser comes in a tube with a pump squirt dispenser. The product has a thick, white, creamy, almost gel-like consistency. Actually, it feels like a cream moisturizer with a little more slip. Easy to spread on the face and work around to dissolve makeup. It seems to do a very good job and rinses away fairly cleanly.
I got this in a duo with the facial cleansing oil. GoTo Face Hero is a favorite of mine, and this is equally nice. Soaks into my skin nicely without leaving me feeling greasy or oily. I apply this before moisturizer. Packaged in an amber glass bottle with dropper applicator.
